Elevated Aluminum Poster Frame Black - Threshold™

It’s a nice aluminum frame that is 16x16, there is no matting—the photo in the frame is sized to look like there is a 4” matting to 12x12 so the name is very deceiving

Great looking frame for an extreme fraction of a typical custom job cost. The metal clip hooks which keep the frame’s backing in place have a bit of space to slide up and down and adjust them as needed, to tightly grip the edges. The window is plastic and not glass, though still manages to look quite decent. There’s an invisible to the eye protective plastic wrap that clings to each side of the window panel, which needs to be removed before inserting artwork. I start at a top corner, and using an index finger, flick it towards myself to catch the “cling wrap” type plastic, then slowly peel it off at an angle. Be patient and work slowly with these Target frames. It’s worth the time considering the minimal cost for nice looking frames.

Does not fit a 27x40 print.

I got these for my son's room and while I like the look I wish they had glass rather than a plastic window.

After having to send 2 frames back, 1 arrived undamaged. The framed was packaged poorly when being shipped. I love the frame! The matte black frame and plexiglass is perfect! I have a set of three on the wall and they look perfect together.

The frame is not bad, my complaint is with how target packages some items. Mine arrived in bad shape. Buy at the store if you can!

These frames are great! I cut my own mat to fit, but you can see the size difference between the mat it came with.

Clips to secure backside keep popping out

Purchased the 27" x 40" frame for my movie poster and for the price... it was really is terrible. It's so flimsy and doesn't even work well. I had this faced down and trying to put the clips in and it doesn't even touch the frame to close it/secure it. Tried to have it stand up to see if that would help and it doesn't either... so basically only some of the clips can be secured and the rest are like junk pieces. The frame is also VERY flimsy like it wobbles.

Exactly what I wanted! I used a painters drop cloth behind the mat because I wanted a neural but textured looking background for our doggies paw prints. This frame was thick enough to house the thicker drop cloth, the mat, and the glass, with room to spare.

Complete and total junk! It’s so flimsy that it immediately falls apart after you take the plastic wrap off of it. It collapsed as soon as I put the picture in. I’m afraid it would fall and hurt anyone who was sitting under the picture. Going back.

This is one of my favorite frames in my house. It’s so affordable and looks very high end. It was easy to hang. I used it to display a piece of art from one of my favorite artists.

I buy picture frames all the time from Target and always love them. This was so flimsy. Even when I held the sides the “proper way” as directed on the back sticker, the adjustable brad-like stays would pop out of place. After I unsheathed the protective plastic wrap on each side of the plexiglass, it showed a deep crack from within. It could only be seen when the plastic wrap was removed. Also, one of the backing stays fell off when I took off the wrap. It was being help in place by the wrapping and side corner cover. The black border of the frame was completely flimsy. This was a total disappointment. I never write reviews and I was disappointed I had to lug this all the way back to Target and start from scratch.
