Q: we are putting the drawers in but the top drawer keeps locking in place when the other drawers are in and shut. It gets very stuck and you have to hit it really hard to have any hope of getting the drawer back open. What are we doing wrong?

A: This is MDF and pine. A glorified IKEA dresser, basically.

This dresser is gorgeous and did not take long to assemble. My only con is the locking drawers of having one open at a time which is a great safety feature for little climbers but very frustrating if one drawer is slightly cracked without realizing and you are unable to open another drawer

I like that it looks great and priced right. The shipping box was a little damaged, but everything was intact with easy to follow instructions. The box was very heavy. Assembly took about 2hrs and off gassing dissipated quickly. It’ll surely hold up for 3-5 years, making it a smart purchase!

I like the design and the dimensions. I bought the same dresser two years ago and waited until it was restocked at Target to buy a second one. Unfortunately, the wood doesn’t match the one I already own.

About a year ago I purchased the natural color. I ended up wanting to purchase a second one of these and upon delivery the color has changed. It is almost a gray color. The picture is the same from what I bought a year ago but the color of this natural doesn’t match what it used to. Returned because of this. Quality is pretty decent but it’s very heavy. If you get the top wood wet it will swell so use coasters.
Do not buy this. Waste of your time and money and target doeant care.

I would rate this 0 if I could. Drawers broke immediately. It came with a broken drawer we tried to repair. Within seconds of using it the drawers had locked up and wouldn’t open. The face of the drawers came off and we still can’t get the drawers open. Target refuses to refund us unless we take it apart (it took hours) and get a new box and send back. Really considering not shopping here in the future and would never buy large scale furniture from them.

It’s a fake Veneer wood and underneath is the lovely press board. Heavy which usually means junk quality if you’re familiar with chip board you know the difference. Screws will eventually work themselves back out. Do not waste your money.

The dresser is aesthetically beautiful and I shouldn’t have ignored the poor reviews for this reason. My main issue with this product is the interlocking safety system which prevents opening more than one drawer at a time. It works too well—preventing one from opening ANY of the drawers 99% of the time. Other reviews complained about the smell. It has a varnish/chemical smell which did not seem that strong. But for someone sensitive to smells, worth noting.

Purchased this dresser for a child and it is unusable as it not only smells awful, but leaves the clothes smelling like a terrible chemical as well. The only case I can see this as practical is for staging since it is so pretty otherwise. We’ve had it for awhile and it smells as bad as it did on the first day. I never leave reviews but had to on this one because that was such a disappointment and thought I’d back up the other smelly reviews.

It is beautiful but the drawers are so useless with the system that I honestly want to throw it in the trash. WHY put these things? I can’t even finish adding the last drawer because the system locked it in place.
Still smells terrible 2 years later.

Gorgeous dresser!! We are thrilled with the look. Drawers feel a little flimsy but we aren’t worried. Fairly easy to put together but took about 90 minutes. It came with no damage and matches the photos. I would give 5 stars but the chemical smell is really really bad. I hope it doesn’t take long to go away (we just put it together today)

It looked great, but the quality was terrible! Worse than ikea. I didn’t expect it to be great, but it was bad. The drawers were so clunky and slammed and then on top of the poor quality- the drawer mechanism kept locking and I couldn’t even open up the drawers. Don’t buy- because if you do and you put it all together and hate it- ups will make you take it all apart again just to send it back.

The color is not even close as depicted online. The chemical smell is unbearable. This is likely a toxic furniture peace. The quality is bad. Ikea is way better. The drawers don’t close properly and you have to tug to open them. Super disappointing purchase.

This dresser is really nice looking and fairly straightforward to put together (took 2 people 2 hours). We had no issues with missing parts or missing pre-drilled holes, however the STRONG chemical smell when we first opened the box that lingered for days after is why this only gets 3/5 stars.
