This is a beautiful, all-wood, pre-assembled bookcase! I purchased a black bookcase which is stunning! I was looking for a pre-assembled bookcase and I am thrilled that I found this on the Target website. So easy—unbox the bookcase, remove the packing, open each side, unfold each individual shelf and position each shelf on the appropriate brackets!

I am writing to confirm what I saw the previous reviewer had wrote, which is that this bookshelf is covered in an unknown fiber that appears to be a type of fiberglass. Upon unpacking this bookshelf this fiber got all over our clothes, hands, feet, and surroundings. I have contacted Target to notify them of this issue but just in case this review can help anyone else I want to put this information out here. I do not want someone else to have to go through the cleaning ordeal I did, especially with kids around. I hope to hear back from Target that they will stop selling this product until this issue is resolved, but this did just happen to me today so the matter is still being looked into. I included one photo of what the fibers look like, they are very small and hard to see when dispersed but there happened to be a pile of them in that one spot. Each shelf of this bookshelf was covered in these fibers.

I ordered three of these shelves. While the quality seems to be okay, the cheap styrofoam packaging appeared to contain fiberglass. Not only were the shelves covered in it, but I had to throw several items of clothing that it contaminated. I put them out in the garbage, unfortunately. I didn't even feel comfortable donating.

It is a good furniture. The wood is strong and good looking.

This shelf is just what I needed. It is sturdy. Well made and super cute. It came constructed so I didnt have to do anything to put it together. The wood was all intact and it was well packaged for shipping.

I love the foldable bookshelf, not only because it was so easy to install but also because the it looks very nice and strong enough for books and work folders. I also appreciate how it was well packed and its prompt delivery. This is my first purchase with Target but will not be the last.

Great shelf for the price. No assembly required. Very sturdy. Highly recommended if you are looking for an inexpensive shelf with no assembly.
