These are not deveined

I purchase alot of frozen shrimp to help with meal prep. I must say Target has the nastiest shrimp I've ever purchased. Everytime I buy them "deveined" they still have plenty of the veins remaining so it takes away from speedy meals.

There was an extremely fishy, yet almost chemical-ly taste, regardless of preparation. I’ve gotten G&G frozen shrimp in different sizes and never had an issue

These were not deveined. They were mushy and every single one had the membrane attached. I ended up throwing them away.

I weighed the package on a digital kitchen scale and it registered 12 ounces, not 16 ounces, as listed on the package. "Permit No 2314, Best by: 01/31/26, Lot # 124 031

I’ve purchased these a few times and when they are properly deveined I like the flavor they have. The last bag wasn’t as good… I want to comment on other comments. First, if the shrimp you buy is freezer burned then return it. It’s part of target’s return policy and if enough get returned they’ll either get on their employees to fix the issue or they’ll stop carrying it. 2nd, an ingredient in this shrimp is sodium tripolyphosphate which helps the shrimp retain water which also affects how the shrimp cooks, the texture and the appearance after it’s cooked. It’s my understanding it’s mostly in shelled shrimp so…buy shrimp w the shell still on. Lastly, here’s a little shrimp guide. Not all shrimp are the same, in fact they can be very different as is how they’re processed…I do wish target had wild caught shrimp in shells, but so far….nope. Deveined is really an overstatement. I’d say the majority, over 50% are? But if you’re like me and get disgusted by nasty shrimp veins these are not for you. You will still be doing more deveining than you want to. Other than that, they are really fresh tasting for a store brand.

The shrimp have a strong fish smell/ taste. I didn’t like the rubbery texture either. I had made ceviche for a family gathering but didn’t take it to share since the taste was very strong. It thought maybe leaving it overnight in the fridge would help but not really. I would not purchase again. I also had to devein most of them.

They were freezer burned..

These are good but not deveined, so you’ll have to spend some extra time doing that once they thaw out.

Tasty, but I was disappointed that many of the shrimp were not deveined

Used these to make shrimp scampi on Christmas Eve. They were great! Got them on sale too for a good deal!

The shrimp was perfect for the price during their sale. I made a nice alfredo!

Love that these are wild caught and appreciate Target always having them in stock and running good specials on these occasionally too. Great flavor and can be used in so many recipes. A weekly purchase.

Many of the shrimp in the bag were not deveined properly and there were small pieces of shrimp tails from the bag that got mixed in with my food too.
