Q: My wife was to purchase AZO vaginal screen, to see if she has yeast or bacterial infection. Will this product be equivalent for such detection?

submitted by MikeS - 3 years ago
  • A: Hi MikeS, yes it is a very close indicator for that! We do however recommend your wife contatcs her health care professional after to see what would be best to help relive symptoms, or infection. If we can provide you with any more assistance, please feel free to email us at cs@i-healthinc.com, or call us at 1-800-722-3476. • A: AZO Vaginal pH Test is probably what she needed, that determines if someone has a yeast infection or bacterial infection. The AZO Urinary Tract Infection Test Strips will detect the presence of a UTI.

  • A: This UTI test kit is to detect infection in urine (bladder/kidney). If you want to determine yeast vs vaginal bacterial infection, you'd want the AZO Vaginal pH Test Kit instead

Q: Does this test for bladder and kidney infection

submitted by Momof3ntheville - 6 months ago
  • A: Dear Momof3ntheville, This product more specifically just tests for general UTIs, not so much for specific kinds of infections. We would recommend bringing it up to a medical professional for a specific diagnosis. If you have any other questions, you can email us at cs@i-healthinc.com or feel free to let us know at 1-800-722-3476. We would love to chat with you Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm, EST.

Q: Can this be used for young kids?

submitted by z - 5 years ago
  • A: Hello Z, Yes they can. As a suggestion, since it might be hard to get a child to urinate on the strip or to hold the strip in their urine stream you can follow our suggested directions of using a clean dry cup/container and dip the strip in there after the child urinates. Hope this helps & good luck!

Q: Silly question, can this be used to test dog's for UTI's if the symptoms are not serious to warrant a test at the vet's office? If so, how can I interpret them for a small dog that is about 11 pounds? Thank you.

submitted by Angie - 5 years ago
  • A: Hello Angie, No, AZO Test Strips® were designed only to help detect a urinary tract infection in humans. We recommend speaking to your dog's veterinarian.

Q: Hello So I have symptoms of a uti,I just took a test and nitrite has no signs it on the negative side. The leukocytes is the color of the pad with very light pink like spotted . Is that positive?

submitted by Raquel - 7 years ago
  • A: A spotty result on the AZO Test Strips is considered inconclusive. We recommend testing again in 24 hours. Also, both tests turning positive is the strongest indication of a urinary tract infection. However, any time you are experiencing symptoms of a urinary tract infection, it is advisable to see your Health Care Professional.
