Q: i ordered these and am waiting for them for a present i didnt read the reviews and they say the shaker lids are loose and have ruiined food have they fixed lids

The seal on the lids is terrible. Your spices are going to get exposed to air and moisture and get ruined. Wouldn't accept them from a friend even if they were free.

These are cute but not functional at all. The plastic lids constantly fall off, ruining my recipes and making a mess. The metal lids also don’t close tightly or smoothly. Save your money!

THIS IS WHAT I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR THE PAST AND HAD TO GET THEM AND THEY ARE GOOD QUALITY FOR AN AVERAGE $2 PLUS TAX. AND THE FACT NO PLASTIC TOPS. THAT WAS IMPORTANT TO ME. So I am transfering my seasonings and it will take up less room. I buy my seasonings in bulk so this is good.

The grates so you can shake what’s in the jar aren’t secure enough. Also the kids need to be checked to be sure it’s been screwed on, we’ve thought we screwed them down and they come right off.

I really like these jars. The outer lid/cap is a tad loose but I store them upright so it hasn’t cause a major issue. The shaker insert is very snug. I actually have to use a paring knife to pop them off when I need to scoop the spice out. I like these a lot.

The jars themselves are a nice weight. The plastic sifter caps are the downside — flimsy and not secure: I would never use them to sprinkle, because I’m sure that cap will fall off. The lids fit securely, but are very lightweight. They seem like they might work for a DIY hanging magnetic rack, if you put a good magnet inside the cap. Most of my baking involves spoonfuls, not sprinkles, so it’s ok for the job.

The jars are really cute but the shaker attachment comes right off when you’re using it. It dumped almost an entire jar of parsley on our recipe. I ignored the reviews hoping it would be different but I wouldn’t recommend.

The spice jars themselves are nice. The shaker inserts are another story. They fit but not well enough. I just know most, if not all, will come off in the pot while shaking the spices.

These jars are the perfect size for my herb/spice cabinet. I only gave 3 stars because like others have said the plastic shaker caps do not stay on. This doesn't affect me personally as I tend to measure out my spices but it is a design flaw that the manufacturer should correct. Other than that these were just what I was looking for.

The bottles are super durable & they look super clean! However, no matter if I shake slightly or significantly, the caps on the inside always pop off when I’m seasoning my food - dispensing wayyy more than I want.

The lids on these jars are incredibly unreliable. I left them off of a few spices that I never use without measuring but have quickly found that you shouldn't try to shake your spices out of them at all. Twice I have had half a jar of spices end up in a meal I was making because the lid completely fell off of the jar. I find that pretty unacceptable given the only purpose of a spice jar is to....dispense spices.

Would love to give this 5 stars. The jars are a great size and look great! But unfortunately not the best quality. One arrived with a hole in it and only about half of the shaker tops actually fit on the jars. The rest are too loose, so half of the jars ended up being unusable.
