Q: When you apply the hair color spray, does it leave that crusty, color residue in your hair for the entire night or does it apply smoothly?

A: Hello Cj - Thank you for your question! The texture and feel of this product is equivalent to a holding hair spray – so no, it is not smooth. All of the color can be removed by following the instructions on the can “Use a brush to remove as much color as possible, then shampoo thoroughly. Rinse with warm water. Repeat if necessary”. Makes your hair feel stiff and gross! Wish they would come up with one that has an oil in it so it wouldn’t make your hair feel nasty. Used for Halloween for the Joker and immediately regretted it. Doesn’t show up well on dark hair.

Messy application (got all over my bathroom) and did not wash out well. At the end of the night, it left patchy stains on my scalp. It took a couple washes before it was completely gone. Only upside was that the color came out bright once applied.

I wasn’t sure how this spray dye was going to turn out or if it would work on my daughter’s brown hair but it was great! The red definitely showed and it served its purpose on Halloween. The only thing that I didn’t like (which is inevitable) were the toxic fumes haha.

This will get on everything. It makes your hair feel like chalk and when you try to brush it out it will bring your hair with it. Do not use this. I’ve washed my hair 5x and black is still coming out, my hair is still dark, and it’s all over my pillow cases/shirts/fingers, brushes, etc. Just buy a wig and save yourself the trouble

Easy to use, more vibrant color than I was expecting! Washes out pretty easily, just need to pay attention to where the spray made it to the scalp. Read the directions and make sure you’re applying it to dry hair (it will be duller if you spray it over damp gel). Can’t beat it for the price!

I got the white and have very dark brown hair. This wasn’t anywhere near as pigmented as I had hoped, and I ended up having to do multiple layers of it with dry shampoo, which helped A LOT, but I probably could’ve gotten the same results with regular hairspray and dry shampoo tbh

looks super real, my sister thought i actually dyed my hair. i was scared it was gonna stain my hair but it washed right out. only con is that it transfers horribly, like my clothes, skin, and everywhere my hair touched all night.

This review is for the White colored spray. Doesn’t really show up on hair. My son and I have darkish brown hair and it’s barely visible. I’ve had better outcome from other brands. Green spray on the other hand does show up green especially after heavy application.

Purchased the black hair spray…colored my daughter’s hair fairly well. Warning: it gets on absolutely everything, even though we were careful to cover her face with towel during spraying. Her whole head and Eve touched the rest of the night. I don’t know how I kept finding black smudges everywhere. Had to wash hair four times to remove most of it and coconut oil to remove from skin. The bottom of my shower is horrible, even after a deep scrub. Never again! I’d rather buy a wig if needed for a costume. Other reviews noted the fumes and I agree it was fairly strong.
