Flour towels - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
These do not absorb like flour towels are suppose to. I have used flour towels all my life as drying dishes. So disappointed and a waste of money they do not absorb at all.
1 reply from MUkitchen Product Expert team - 2 years ago
Hi, So sorry to hear that you are disappointed in our flour sack towels. We usually recommend our ridged or terry towels when ooking for best absorbency and use the flour sack for lighter jobs like stemware since they are such low lint. Also ideal to cover bread when rising. Please reach out to us at info@mukitchen.com so we can help to resolve this for you.
Love these for kitchen and beyond!

I love these towels. I've bought them many times in variety of colors, black, white. They are thin, they're supposed to be, that's why I buy them. I have fluffier towels for other uses around the kitchen. I use multiple towels daily to dry hand washed dishes and glassware, lay out for rinsed fruit/veg to soak up extra water, keep tortillas warm, etc. Also great to place under messy appliances like smoothie maker, mixer, juicer, or when canning. When they get a bit worn I move them to my rag drawer and use for cleaning floors, etc TIPs: Be sure to wash them before first use. The darker colors are stiffer to begin with but do soften up. I wash mine frequently and they hold up nice, get better w more washing in my opinion.

These towels were horrible. I use flour sacs all the time and these are not at all a flour sac. They do not absorb any liquid, they just push it around. Do not buy these.
1 reply from MUkitchen Product Expert team - 3 years ago
Hi Sarah, Sorry that you are disappointed in the flour sack towels. While not the most absorbent because they are lightweight; flour sacks are also low lint making them ideal for glassware. For high absorbency a microfiber or terry cotton towel are the best choices. Also be sure to launder before use and do not use fabric softener as this affects the absorbency.

Not Flour Sack! Extremely loose weave (Can See Through Them), non-absorbent, Very Coarse. Waste of money, won't even make good slop rags.
1 reply from MUkitchen Product Expert team - 3 years ago
Hello! First, thank you for your purchase and personally apologize for the poor experience you encountered...not what we wish to hear from our customers. Flour Sack Towels are purposely produced with a looser weave which makes for a great drying towel on glasses/stem ware or to cover dough and allow bread to rise. HOWEVER - if you are looking for an ultimate drying towel we recommend our Ridge Cotton Towels or our Honeycomb Cotton Towels. Please contact us directly at 952-977-9661 and reference this post so we can correct the situation for you. We love our customers and wish for you to have a positive experience with your purchase! Thank you and we hope to hear from you soon!

These are large towels, however, they are extremely thin. I will be returning them without even trying them out. Charging a lot for paper thin towels
1 reply from MUkitchen Product Expert team - 3 years ago
Hi Omni, The flour sack towels are by design thinner than a terry towel or even a tea towel. They are well suited for stemware or other glassware because they are low lint and lightweight enough to fit inside glass. An original use was to dampen and cover rising bread. Sorry to hear they were not what you expected.

These are not Flour Sack Towels. They are very thin and shrink by 33 percent. Very poor quality. I will use them as rags!!
1 reply from MUkitchen Product Expert team - 4 years ago
Hi Deb, So sorry that you are disappointed with our Flour Sack Towel set. They are intended to be lightweight so there is very little lint but we are concerned about the shrinkage. Would you be willing to reach out to us at info@mukitchen.com so that we can learn more and resolve this for you?

These towels are pretty thin, but worst of all, they are very non-absorbent. Dishes are very difficult to dry with these towels. I'm quite disappointed in Target for carrying such a poor product.
1 reply from MUkitchen Product Expert team - 4 years ago
Hi Bob R, Sorry to hear you are disappointed in our Flour Sack Dish Towel set. Please be sure to wash first and not use any fabric softener as this affects absorbency.

These are not true flour sack towels. I was disappointed with the absorbency. They mostly smear the water around when trying to dry dishes.
1 reply from MUkitchen Product Expert team - 4 years ago
Hi mksz523, Sorry to hear that our Flour Sack Towels did not meet your expectations. Avoid using any fabric softener when washing as this greatly reduces the absorbency. They should improve after the 1st couple of washes. But for the most absorbent towels choose terry or microfiber.

These are too thin. I would not buy again.
1 reply from MUkitchen Product Expert team - 4 years ago
Hi Unhappy Target Shopper, Our sincere apologies that you find our flour sack too thin. A flour sack towel is traditionally lighter weight for quick drying and less lint.

What a novel idea - dishcloths that actually dry the dishes! These are the best I've ever used. They absorb the water instead of rubbing it around and then they dry quickly so they don't start to smell sour. I will definitely be buying more!

Rubay - 8 years ago
These are not table linens, they are flour sack cloths. Use them like you would paper towels for not-too-messy messes, but throw them in the wash. In other words, I wouldn't use them to cook bacon in the microwave, but would use them to clean messy hands and faces or shine a sink or countertop. If you want ironed-looking table linens, don't get these. Get cloth napkins.
