Q: Is the measuring cup heat resistant? Can one put boiling water into the measuring cup?
submitted by Dawn - 1 year ago
A: Hi Dawn - That's a really good question. The glass can definitely hold hot temperature as it is microwave safe. I hope this helps. - Emma

Summary of reviews
The glass measuring cup is appreciated for its sturdy and durable construction, making it a reliable choice for various kitchen tasks. Guests enjoy its aesthetic appeal and the convenience of its size, especially the 4-cup version for larger recipes. However, there are concerns about the measurement markings washing off and the spout design causing spills. Despite these issues, many find it a valuable addition to their kitchen, particularly for those who prefer glass over plastic.

All the print came off after 5 uses
The spout on this measuring cup doesn't pour correctly. When you are pouring it runs down the side and pours from.

I’ve had these measuring cups for less than a year and despite being marked as dishwasher safe, the measuring lines and fading away. I would recommend saving yourself money in the long run and buying higher quality measuring cups than these so you don’t have to replace them in less than a year.

This says "microwave/ dishwasher safe" but the print started rubbing off after being in the microwave for 30 seconds. I literally just bought it. Ugh.

Terrible pour spout, it makes such a mess! This is fine to use as a bowl but don’t even bother pouring liquid from it unless you want major clean up. The spout needs a design overhaul!

This product is terrible. After a few washes Ont eh dishwasher the measuring cup lines and everything has rubbed off. Such a piece of junk. Don’t waste your money and buy more on an etched glass one. Now I have a useless class bowl.

Love this glass measuring cup. Very thick glass, smooth, and heavy…very well made and worth every penny. Definitely worth for dry ingredients and liquids. Definitely a must have for type of measuring.

I thought I got a bargain here, but after the second trip through the dishwasher, all markings were completely gone. I mean there was no hint that it ever had measurement markings or numbers of any kind. Not even a hint. Kinda defeats the purpose, don't ya think??

I've never written a negative review before but every single time I have used this it spills upon pouring. I've only had it a week and used it every day. I will be returning it.

It’s fine for things like pancake batter but if you intend on using it to pour thin liquids, get something else. The spout is terrible and no matter how I angled it, I couldn’t get a steady stream. I lost a decent amount of homemade bone broth and will be purchasing a higher quality brand and demote this measuring cup to unimportant tasks.
Awful pouring design.

Spills everywhere because the pouring spout is rounded instead of tapered to a point
