44" Dempsey Ceiling Fan with Remote (Includes LED Light Bulb) - Hunter Fan

Perfect price, size and style for my daughters' rooms. We bought 2 and were easy to install (once we upgraded the ceiling box to a fan-rated box for 70 lbs). Daughters have loved them and the fans have helped keep them cool in that saddle time between "AC-time" and the final cooling off of summer. Looking forward to the savings in heat come winter!

We bought a Dempsey for a guest room. It’s very quiet and has OK air flow but it is a small 44inch fan which might explain the airflow. It is sturdy and the light is good. We like that the remote shows the three speeds so you know which speed you’re choosing. I wouldn’t say it’s stylish in appearance (it’s bulky-looking) but it works for what we need it for. It’s a good fan for the price.

I can hear the hum and squeak of this ALL NIGHT LONG. I have always liked Hunter but not after this. I do not recommend this fan.

The ceiling fan arrived in good condition and the ceiling fan was packed very well with no damage. Once installed, the fan operated quietly and without a hitch. It looks great and fits in well with our decor. We would recommend this fan to others. Only one concern was noted at installation. Each of the fan blades are held in place by three (3) screws. On one of the blades, the center hole was not tapped properly and would not accept the screw. However, this did not seem to effect the operation of the fan. Being a maker of quality ceiling fans, it was a bit surprising that quality control did not pick up on this.

Was pleased that a fan that fit our needs was a Hunter. We have had several Hunter Fans in our homes over the years. I found this model more difficult to assemble than any other fan I have installed. Some fans are designed for and list on the box as easy installation. This one wasn’t. It may be that I am not as mechanically inclined as I used to be. When I hung the fan motor assembly on the temporary hanging tabs while connecting wires the tabs straightened out and the fan motor fell. I was able to catch it as I had two wires connected which stopped it falling to the floor. Once assembly completed, it worked great and looks great. I love Hunter fans. It’s a great, time honored brand.

The fan looks fine and the electrician installed it quickly. Unfortunately the motor makes a clicking sound and I will need to take it down and ship it back, then hire the electrician to come back to install it. I'm hopeful that the replacement fan does not have the same issue. I received a very timely response from their Customer Services team.

Lights failed after just 2 weeks. When I pressed the button on the remote, they would glow faintly for a few seconds but that's it. So after researching the issue I learned that the remote receiver is usually the problem. So I bypassed the receiver and wired the lights directly to the second wall switch. Working correctly now. However, the fan motor has that low hum at all speeds. I don't expect much life out of this thing. Will shop other brands next time.

I work from home and just updated my office and was looking for a simple and modern ceiling fan. This is a perfect size and color. I chose to use the lighter color blades; the opposite side of the blades is black.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to replace an older Hunter fan that I had put up several years ago. The older Hunter fan didn't have enough wind, even on high. I wired this fan up and tried it out. Holy cow this thing puts out some wind! Wiring up was something I didn't expect. The remote sensor that you have to wire in adds several wires to the schematic so be prepared to wire about 10 wires together. Most are color coded to the wires in our house so it was easy, just time consuming. If you do it yourself, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! Had I not followed the instructions it would have been a lot less desirable outcome. The light is also very bright. Having the bulb included was great. Not all fans have the same size or style bulb, but the fan had a LED bulb in the box that you use and it is very bright. When the fan is on high, other than the airflow you can't hear it at all. It is very quiet. I absolutely recommend this fan for your home. We live in Texas and it gets HOT. This will help us manage the temperature without overworking our HVAC unit.

We have two of these less than a year old. Both installed by a licensed electrician. On one the lights blink on and off when supposed to be on. Blinked as long as it was on. Replaced bulbs to no avail. Paid electrician to come back and double check. Replaced bulbs seem to reduce the frequency of the blinks. It also makes noise in medium and high speed. The other one blinked and make a clicking sound. Replaced the bulbs twice and blink has finally stopped. Sprayed the heck out of it with WD40. Seems to have abated the noise for now. Also had bulb problems with the Sophia we bought. They provided non dimmable bulbs! But that's another review.

Fan is fine. Light is useless unless you are merely using it as a night light. It will not hold higher power bulbs, nothing else will fit. Globe is a SOLID white, lets little through. So buy the fan with out a light and use table lamps. USELESS for anything that you need to see with.

Bought a new bedroom set, and the old fan had to go. Installed this one today. Easy to follow instructions. Nice looking bedroom fan. Really appreciate the remote control feature. Runs quiet and provides comfortable circulation .Blades were balanced from the get go. I like the design.(I'm getting another one for my work out room).

Classic, modern and industrial all at the same time! High quality and solidly built! Blades are more black-brown than jet black just so you know for decorative/aesthetic purposes. Light is fairly bright in a 11 x 13 bedroom and motor is really quiet while running fan!

It is noisy and the light won’t work unless the fan is on!!!! Such a mess, but took forever to install so I am leaving it, but it sounds like it is taking off.

I had this fan installed professionally. It does not function as a light because it randomly turns on and off. This is a widespread problem mentioned in 1/3 of the reviews on Hunter's website.Some reviews call it flickering. I have called customer service about 10 times in 6 weeks. They tell you to reset the receiver in the fan with the remote. It did NOT work. They sent a new receiver which also was professionally installed. That did NOT work even though I followed all the troubleshooting instructions from customer service regarding pairing the remote with the new receiver. They finally agreed to replace the fan but only with the same defective model. I expected more from a company with Hunter's reputation. Read the reviews and do NOT waste your time or money on this fan.
