Q: Can the knob and gauge be removed?

A: The knob is not removable. The gauge is but there is no cap to that if its removed.

Q: Are the supplied screws and wall anchors strong enough to hold it attached to dry wall? The spacing between the wall attachments does not correspond to the studs in our wall.

A: As long as you use the anchors and stay below the weight capacity (30 lbs) it holds on dry wall.

Instructions are not user friendly. Recommend using better drywall anchors. Looks great on corner wall.

It is very cool but a little complicated to put together. The diagram is garbage so you have to use logic when turning the pieces together. Manufacturer needs to do a much better job at that, especially for the price. The aesthetic is nice, construction required is questionable. Purchase if you enjoy pipe puzzles.

This package arrived timely, and as expected. While attempting to put together several things were obvious. The grooves cut for the pipe pieces were not done well, if you tighten the piece, the alignment was WAY off, The instructions were laughable, you might as well read heiroglyphics. I finally called a friend to help, and it took both of us to figure it out. Once assembled and hung it is exactly what I was looking for, and is extremely cute. But it should not take 3 hours to put together a floating shelf.

Really neat and unusual item. People always comment on it. Love it. It is hard to mount. Took some time to figure out how to put together, measure wall, level, etc, but worth it.
