Q: The question still has not been answered. Can this be mounted as an outside mount over the window? Meaning not within the frame of the window but on the outside of the window.

A: when i read the response to the first person that asked this, i nearly fell out of my chair! anyway, under specifications, it states the shade an be mounted either way.

This was my second time to order trying to get a good set of 3. Again, these had rust-colored threads woven in with the white, even when I requested that they be checked before shipping. They look dirty. Disappointed because otherwise they would have worked well!
