I made the mistake of not reading reviews before buying this, especially since my sister had the older version, which was great. I thought the new version would be just as good, but I'm really disappointed. The new chair has no footrest at all, unlike the old version which had a non-adjustable one. I didn’t realize this from the product description or photos, and now there’s no way to add a footrest. The lack of such a basic feature is a huge inconvenience. The magnetic tray is nice, but it doesn’t make up for the other flaws. I really regret this purchase.

Thank you for your candid feedback. The previous version of the high chair did not include a footrest. It had a support beam that should never be used as a step or footrest. The Connect High Chair® design allows for an upright position for your child to eat their meals safely and comfortably.
Magnetic Tray is a gimmick. DO NOT BUY

I bought this highchair thinking it would be perfect for my baby but I was very wrong. The magnetic tray is a headache. Your baby will eventually learn to use regular metallic utensils before they outgrow the chair- then the utensils will stick to the tray and interfere with mealtime. You are lying to yourself if you think you will only buy 4moms utensils

Thank you for your candid feedback. The magnetic tray top for plates and bowls was removed from the high chair when the model was updated in 2021. The current Connect High Chair® sold on 4moms.com does not have a magnetic tray top.

Unhappy with this purchase after 2 years for so many reasons. For as expensive as it is I would expect MUCH more from a high chair. Initially, I loved this chair but quickly realized what a mistake it had been to put it on my registry. 1. The latch to pull off the tray is super loud and can be surprisingly difficult to work. 2. Even though it was difficult, at one point my son constantly would accidentally kick the tray off. He’d somehow find the perfect place to kick his feet and the tray would fly off and his food would splatter all over the floor. Huge mess. 3. The adjustment bars are located right where you would grab the chair to scootch it over if you needed to move it, not fun to accidentally adjust the height while your kid is in it. 4. Initially, loved how easy it was to wipe down, but after some time food and grime would get under the grey insert and now I have to take the whole thing and peel it up To clean under it every time as it doesn’t not lay perfectly flat and it’s the perfect place for crumbs and spills to hide. 5. There is no footrest which when I made my registry I had no idea it was important. Could not return it by the time I had my baby and figured that out. 6. The back bar cracked on ours at some point, it’s still useable but I always check it because it seems crazy that that part would crack like that. I have no idea how it happened. The chair wobbles a bit but not sure if that’s because of the crack or the design of the chair. So all in all, NOT worth the $300 price tag. I have enjoyed some aspects of the chair but truly regret choosing this one. If it hadn’t been $300, I’d have trashed it and bought something else.

High chair!

I bought this high chair a few weeks ago, came within a day, super quick delivery time! Easy to assemble and my 2 month old loves it! We put her in it when we do dishes or cook and she loves being at our level to watch and absorb everything! Only reason it isn’t a 5/5 is it is a little tough to move around, there isn’t a great place to pick it up from (where I go to pick it up has the adjustment buttons). But not too bad of a hindrance.

I’m writing this review after cleaning up one of the many messes my toddler has made after figuring out how to kick her foot at the handle that unlatches the tray and her food goes all over the floor. Iv been using this highchair for 2 years and I can honestly say that for the price your money can be better spent elsewhere. This chair also doesn’t come with a foot rest which I didn’t realize was an important feature until after purchasing this. It takes up a lot of space. The legs kind of stick out so my toddler has tripped while running past this many times. The only and best part about this chair in my opinion is the easy clean up. Very disappointing especially because it’s so expensive.

VERY UNSAFE PRODUCT

If I can give zero stars, I would. The make of this product is very unsafe. The "release" button is located underneath the tray and babies are able to get their feet underneath and kick the tray off! It's happening to both the older and newer versions. For a $300 highchair, this shouldn't happen. DO NOT BUY THIS HIGHCHAIR.

We apologize for your less-than-awesome experience and want to make this right for you. Please reach out to us as soon as possible at support@4moms.com. If you are still using the high chair, please make sure the baby is buckled into the harness system every time, as the tray is not designed to be a part of the safety restraint system.

Poor quality, with my other 2 kids: 8 and 4 years ago this chair was better made. Now the table is hard to put on and off. The whole chair is shaking, like designed to fall. The only better part is the insert that makes it more comfortable.

The amount of times the tray ends up on the floor is frustrating. The squeeze handle is a flawed design. He kicks the tray off all the time. There also should be a foot rest?? Not sure why your design team would take it away.

I’d like to assist you and learn more about your experience. It doesn’t appear that you’ve been in contact with our Customer Success team, so please reach out to us directly at support@4moms.com. Please note, the tray is not designed to hold the child in the chair, and the five-point harness should always be used.

We’re going to end up getting a different high chair. My son just turned a year, and it’s been fine, but he sometimes kicks the tray off. The one hand grip is great and all, but he just has to get his little foot behind the handle and it goes flying. There also isn’t a foot rest. We unfortunately will be repurchasing something else.
Wish it had a bar for the feet.

I thought this high chair had a bar for the child’s feet. It does not. The bar you see is too far back. If I would have known I would have bought something else. Otherwise it’s sturdy. Cleans easy.
Why’d they change the design?!

We bought this thinking it would be the same as the ones our friends had (and love), without realizing the design had changed. I hate that there’s no longer a foot rest, and the four feet are so flimsy and I sturdy compared to the previous design. It’s very obvious that the new one is much more cheaply made… which is especially disappointing since they’re charging the same for it! I wish I would’ve realized it sooner so I could’ve returned it. But I highly recommend against this product now!

We had the original for over six years with our three kids and it was the best! We ordered this new one and are disappointed in a few things … mainly that the grey insert is now hard to take out to clean when the white leg divider is still in … we took ours out to clean it eve dry day and now it’s difficult to remove. Also the magnetic tray feature also does not work as well and the tilting seat makes the whole thing feel less stable. Bummer that they had to change some of the things we loved most about it, I’m not sure that it’s worth the cost anymore compared to other options that are available now.
