52" Newsome Glossy Ceiling Fan (Includes LED Light Bulb) - Hunter Fan

The fan works great, but the light fixture does not fit. The the threaded hollow stud is to short for the light globe to fit.

Had similar fan but couldn’t change the speed of the fan. Love Hunter Brand fans

Quality product. Easy installation. I have only 1 rule when it comes to ceiling fans: buy a Hunter!

It is a pretty fan. It is too cool to run it so I can't attest to the effectiveness of the fan.

Easy to install without remote. Had to install a ceiling fan support junction box in the attic. Fan is quiet and looks great. Bought 3 of them for the bedrooms in our home. Web promo gave us free remote for each one. The remote box was easy to install. However the instructions to pair were not well written and it took 2 to 3 tries to pair the remote. Also make sure the fan is set to high using the pull chain or the remote will only run at much slower speeds. But even with the difficulty we are happy with the fans.

I love my ceiling fan but we have high ceilings and the amber globe it came with does not produce enough light. I would hate to have to buy another ceiling fan as this one is only a little over a year old. Is it possible to buy a clear globe or any other type other than the amber?

The fan is just what I was wanting for the room I put it in. Looks great and hopefully it will work for a while as my last one "petered out" rather early and it was only the light portion and you all had no other parts available so a new fan was the only way to go. Bummer.

we purchased this for a kitchen about 10x10 feet. while it looks nice is is pretty low profile, it barely moves any air. our old hunter fan was much better, but noisier, but it started making noise after 15 years. i've noticed that every new hunter fan i've purchased int he last couple years spins slower than the unit it is replacing.

I don't like that it isn't completely flush with the ceiling.

I replaced two ceiling fans with lights, with two Newsome Low Profiles. It's about a year later and I'm very happy with these. They are quiet, reliable and don't wobble.

Love it! Very installation. There was one area that was missing instructions, but it made sense and was not an issue.

I was replacing another Hunter fan the I had installed just about 5 years ago because the light draw string no longer worked. I ordered another Hunter fan and installed but no matter what I've tried, the fan "clicks" as it turns. I did check online and followed all the how-to's to trouble shoot. Took it apart and tightened the screws, rechecked the installation and still "click click click click". It must just not be a quiet fan. The blades are short so be careful that you're not looking for a lot of air circulation. On a bright note, the light is great (no pun intended).

Don’t bother ordering the six foot extension pipe. Because you will just have to cut off one foot of it (and drill and tap the new end appropriately) to deal with the fact that the fan only comes with long enough wire for a five foot pipe!

The fan came well packaged. My first disappointment was the longer of the two down rods was only three inches long. The installer went to the local big box store to get a 6" rod but there were none so he got a 12" rod instead. As it turned out, that was the right choice. Installation went smoothly with one exception. There are three rubber grommets for each of the five blades. They had to be installed and that was no easy task and took the longest of any of the steps. This fan replaced a previous Hunter fan and we were able to reuse the bracket that was in the ceiling. Everything else went perfectly. The previous fan had four lights with small globes that opened down, exposing the bulbs. We wanted a light where the bulbs were behind a single globe, and this one had that. Only it had only two bulbs instead of four and I was worried that it would not provide enough light. I was wrong. It provides plenty of light. When the installation was done it fit perfectly in our kitchen and offered the perfect amount of light. The bulbs that came with it were 3000K which was slightly whiter than the 2700K bulbs we use around the house, but that seemed to be the right color for the kitchen. The blades were well balanced and there is no noticeable wobble with the 12" down rod. I am completely satisfied with this fan and would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend.

The fans arrived promptly in perfect condition. They were easy to install and are super quiet. Customer support was very helpfull when I inquired about buying this model.

Needs a foam gasket where the fan housing meets the ceiling to eliminate light coming through. Otherwise fan is quiet and appears to be well made
