If you want to be able to use 2 switches, one for a light and one for the fan, DO BUY BUY THIS FAN. You might as well put that in the description to not buy this fan if you want 2 switches. If you want to just turn the light on when you enter your room you HAVE to have the fan switch on. So you have to leave the fan switch on all the time just to use the lights. It even glitches intermittently to where the light switch flip flops, the on position of the switch turns the light off..

Hello, since this fan is designed to be controlled via the remote, a wired dual switch will not function as expected. It’s crucial that the first switch remains in the ON position to allow the remote and the second switch to operate correctly. This requirement is due to the integrated receiver in the fan. Fans work ok, but they HUM. Very annoying. Not recommended for quiet spaces. Definitely NOT what I expected from a Hunter fan. Was not at all interested in the internet connections offered. Glad to find there were tiny little remotes in the box, but would have been just as happy with pull chains.

You can NOT control the light and fan Independently. Not sure who came up with this terrible design but I would not recommend this one if you have dual switches on your wall. I assumed one would work for light and one for the fan. instead one switch acts as a breaker to the whole unit and the other can operate the light, ONLY if the first swtich is up. super annoying. I originally bought three of these. after realizing how to first one operates, I'm going to take the other two back. Not sure why this wouldn't be specified in the tech specs or something. Its a shame bc the fan looks nice and the light works well.

Hello, this fan was designed to be controlled using the included remote. The switch on the wall is for on/off. You will use the remote to change the speed of the fan and dim the lights. Bought a dozen of these and have six installed so far. Four were quick and easy setting up wifi but they disconnect and reconnect randomly during the day. On one of the two that will not connect to wifi, the remote also affects two of the other fans.

I have a love hate relationship with this fan. It’s a great fan that pushes a lot of air at higher speeds. It’s fairly quiet and doesn’t wobble. It’s simple in design which is nice. However the App and smart home integration is absolute trash. The app and Alexa integration rarely work. If it does work it may take so long to execute a command from Alexa that you begin to think it’s just not working again…. But minutes later it will. Sometimes it won’t work from the app or the remote, which means you need to be sure you have a switch nearby to turn it on or off. The fan does not have chains, so the only way to change the light or fan speed is on the remote or an app so hopefully they are cooperating when you need them to be. This is by far the worst smart home device I’ve ever purchased.

Easy to install, looks good and is well balanced right out of the box. My 4th Hunter fan overall. Only two installed due to changes in decor but the old ones were super reliable and quiet. This fan looks great, moves are very well and the remote makes the operation easy. Of the two fans I have now, one is the higher priced dc driven fan and this one a more conventional ac motor. You can detect a slight motor hum when you go over mid speed but I would not classify it as "loud". Would definitely buy another if the need comes up and would recommend Hunter to anyone. The only negative is the app. I can't seem to be able to reset the password without contacting Hunter. It's just a fan, reset should be no issue.

I like this fan a lot and I find it very stylish and it fits well with the design and style of my bedroom; however, one of the fan blade screw holes in the motor assembly was not machined/drilled correctly causing me to omit a screw from one of the fan blades. Set up was easy as was installation and app configuration.

Good Fan Except when Using Simple Connect

Overall, the fan is nice. The only issue I have with it is that the SimpleConnect system is not so simple! It is constantly disengaging, the reverse function in the app does not work at all, and the directions in the owner's manual is extremely lacking. The whole system is not very user friendly. Without the SimpleConnect app/system, the fan works fine. However, Hunter Fans could do a better job with the user manual by giving proper instructions on the various functions of the remote. For instance, the manual lacks the instructions on how to put the fan in reverse. When I called tech support, they gave me instructions on how I had to press two of the buttons on the remote at the same time to put the fan in reverse. Why is it so difficult to just put those instructions in the manual?
