5pc 60" Idalia Mid-Century Modern Dining Set - Christopher Knight Home

The overall feel of this table is great--it looks nice, I found it easily tp put together by myself, its a good weight to move around for cleaning while remaining sturdy. However, the finish on the top scratches SUPER reasilly. Like if you have a grain of salt under a laptop and you push your laptop across the table? Scratch. You have a cat jump on the table and then leap off when scolded? Scratch. Any small unglazed knick the bottom of a plate or bowl? Scratch. I bought this table expeching a nice mid-century modern table top to highlight the feel of the dining room, but instead we end up hiding the top with a tablecloth when we have people over. Functional? Very? Quality? Disappointed in the finish.

This was the exact size and colors I was looking for in a table. I was a little worried from the reviews that it may come damaged but it was fine. Paid a carpenter friend to assemble, took him about two hours. Has a nice small footprint for a living room/dining room shared space. Actually bought a bench also somewhere else to expand seating to six if needed. Not letting me upload photos sorry!

Desk is good and beautiful. Chairs are really difficult to assemble. One chair is wiggly and cracked so I’m wondering if i can get one new chair. It took me several hours to assemble them because the chairs were not well designed. It will be a terrible idea if target want me to disassemble and return or exchange. I wanted to make a phone call for customer service but no one answer it. I had no choice writing a 1 star review. Hopefully I can get service from Target.

For the price I guess I shouldn't complain too much... I have to agree with some of the other people who have reviewed this table when it comes to the assembly of the chairs. There needs to be guides on the bottom side of the cushions because you're guessing where the screws go and on more than one occasion I had to remove the cushion and do it all over again because it wasn't centered. It seems that this table will scratch super easy so make sure you're putting something down before any dishes or anything remotely heavy. The color and wood grain is gorgeous and very similar to the color in the picture. The chairs doesn't seem very sturdy either. I'm sure this will last a couple years (if that) so again for the price it will do but I'm sure I'll have to get a different set within the next year or so...

An amazing amount of style at this price. Feels solid, not cheap.

I wanted to love this table but there are a couple of significant issues I have had with it in the two months I've owned it. First, it does feel like a miniature table when you are sitting in it - not a deal breaker because I loved the style and color. Additionally the chairs were comfortable enough. However, my main issue is how easily the tabletop scratches. You literally cannot even slide a plate on it without the tabletop surface scratching. We only eat at it 2x/week and have no heavy use and the top is still already scratched all over. For that reason alone I would not repurchase or recommend to others.

I love this table and chairs! It is so pretty and the construction is sturdy. The chairs are a little less sturdy than the table, however. I've needed to tighten several screws on the chairs already and I've owned if for about 4 weeks. Also, I wasn't prepared for the table to arrive in two separate boxes on two separate days so I was a little nervous that I'm made a mistake when only the base/legs showed up! LOL The table top does scratch easily. I'm not even sure how the scratch got there. It wasn't there when I put it together and by the next day, voila. Bummer, for sure. I think that a wood stain marker will cover it up nicely though. Overall, gorgeous furniture and great price!

I was skeptical to purchase this, but I was surprised with the quality. The piece was bigger than I anticipated and arrived with no damages whatsoever. The chairs are sturdy don't wobble. It will work great until I get a true midcentury table. Tip -- the price fluctuated wildly over the month I watched it, so be on the lookout for sales (I purchased for a little over $300).

DO NOT ORDER Christopher Knight Home dining table sets. I have ordered a dining set earlier and received a damaged table. Talked to Target and returned the product. Wanted to give another chance as we liked the dining table set but even the second time we received a damaged product. They send chairs and dining table in separate shipments. After I assemble the chairs and wait for the table, I see that the table arrives damaged. I spend few hours assembling and it's just waste of my time. Do not order this if you do not want to receive a damaged product.

This is really a nice piece of furniture for the price. The style is gorgeous and the piece are all very solid. All the main components are wood, not flimsy fiberboard. Once assembled, the table is very sturdy and seems like it will last. The cushions are a light mint green, verging on a sea foam type color and are a rough linen-type texture. The curved back makes it very comfortable. I would note that the color of the table is slightly darker than it appears in the picture (in my opinion) and is more of a medium to dark brown color. My only complaint, and the reason I gave fewer stars is the assembly. I would almost give this 3 stars based on the assembly alone and we have assembled a lot of furniture in our day. The instructions are not well written or clear. There are a number of places, like the seats, where items need to be screwed into the wood, but no guide holes or marks are provided as to where the screws go, making it a real challenge even after you figure out what goes where. We found it difficult to center the seats and get he chairs themselves to not wobble. It took a lot of adjusting and work. The table was much simpler and went together fairly quickly.
