Q: What is the plating material to create the gold color appearance? The core material is stainless steel, sure - but what material gets added to the outside to make them appear gold?

PVD (physical vapor deposition) coating, also known as thin-film coating, is a process in which a solid material is vaporized in a vacuum and deposited onto the surface of a part.
