Despite the negative reviews, I purchased this and really enjoy it! It’s a little smaller than I had expected. Had I measured I would’ve known that so that’s not targets fault. But overall, I really like it. I had no problem building it as long as you follow the instructions. Everything was there.

I think this is great for the price. I just put it together and intend to use it for just little decorations and nic nacs. Some reviews say it’s fallen apart but I haven’t experienced that. My 1 tip would be make sure you add those support beams if not it will be wobbly

Do not buy! Should have listened to reviews. Screws aren’t long enough to go in so you can’t even put it together! Don’t bother. Returning.

I loved this shelf till the screws started falling out. Slowly but surely enough fell out and it fell apart in my kitchen. Absolute garbage

In summary- Do not buy this. As other reviews state, it’s impossible to put it together so it stays together. The screws do not go deep enough, the particle board essentially collapses when you attempt to screw (what little you can) the screws in. Total waste of time and money. I wish I’d looked at reviews while I was in the store to save myself the heartache associated with having to return this. My intention was to use this for my kid’s toys and had I been able to get it together it likely would have fallen apart on her. Target should recall this, honestly - they’re wasting space in supply chain and labor dollars having this returned over and over based on these scathing reviews.

The picture on the box is incredibly misleading, I got it to store my legos on in hopes it would be tall enough that my dogs tail wouldn’t knock it over. However it’s my fault for not checking the measurements, but ya know I believed the picture on the box. The screws aren’t even long enough to hold the shelf tops on. Will be returning.

Super easy to put together and very durable.

Partical Board shelves are too thin. Screws only go in 1/8 inch which causes partical board to chip. Impossible to put this junk together. It is now in my garbage bin. Can't believe Target sells this product.

Kinda awful to build. The holes don’t line up with where the screws should go, and the screws are not strong enough to go through the wood. Once it was built, it does its job perfectly fine, but it’s not worth the effort

I absolutely love this shelf. It is a great price for the quality. Easy to assemble and looks clean and classy. It is sturdy and can hold an array of items. I personally use it for books, picture frames, and our key bowl. You can pretty much display anything and fit it to your needs. I knew when reading dimensions that it would be on the shorter end, so be aware of that before buying to make sure it will fit your space adequately.

Would give a zero if I could. Don’t waste your time or money. Super small and absolute piece of junk!!!

The boards are not thick enough to support any screws. The thing fell apart before I could even finish building it. The screws go in maybe an 1/8th of an inch so everything immediately collapsed.

If you see this in the store, keep walking- even if it’s on clearance. Hunk of junk! First off, the picture on the box is misleading. This is small. More importantly, I followed the assembly instructions and when I was done, 4 out of the 6 boreholes in “Shelf A” were huge and it just plopped off. I tried to fix it with anchor screws and it got worse. I’d compare the strength of the particle board to a powdered sugar donut! Now I’m stuck with an expensive busted little shelf that I have no use for. Two thumbs down!

around step five of putting this together the metal poles began collapsing onto each other which made the wood fall apart and to the point i couldn’t finish putting it together.

I tried to put this together with a screwdriver & had to swap to a drill. This is the worst item I've ever purchased at Target. The screws aren't long enough to hold so they have fallen out. I think I'll return it if I can cram it back in the box.

Put this together with a drill, it was nearly impossible with just a screwdriver. Even with that, the shelves fell apart and screws came right out. There are so many bad reviews, not sure why this product is still available for purchase.

I disliked that its image lies of its size and on top of that the nails barely hold the items together.

Bad quality, not worth it! The holes for the screws were not dripped deep enough resulting in the wood splitting when we first attempted the build it. We ended up manually drilling out the holes with power drill which worked for us but would certainly not work for everyone. Too much of a hassle to for what it is, would recommend looking for something else

even by cheap compressed sawdust standards, this shelf is awful. The screws that hold the shelves are way too short, and the particle board you're screwing into is way too soft. You'll strip all your screws and the particle board to the point that the shelves won't hold. Save your money. Flipping awful!
