Q: can you change the orientation where you plug into this cord? the picture makes it look like one of the inputs is twisted which makes it look like you can change the direction of the plug...

A: Yes, the plug orientation can twist.

A: I don’t see why not. As long as they aren’t 3 prong. This extension cord is only for 2 prong items.

Q: Is the part they plugs into the wall flat? I have a plug behind my desk that I would like to plug my lamp into, but the traditional plug style sticks out from the wall too much.

A: I don't believe it is. Target does carry slimline extension cords, which it sounds like you need.
