One word of caution, do not apply direct pressure to the smaller rings by them self's as they will break. The pressure must be evenly distributed on this chair. A: Sorry for the delay in getting back with you. In answer to your question if two people are sitting on it and the weight is evenly distributed between the two it will be 400 lbs. If there is only one person sitting on it we suggest no more than 250 lbs. Also, please be aware that when sitting on it do not push down on the smaller rings by themselves. Any direct presser on the smaller rings will cause them to break.
