These roman shades are terrible...other than the color. Tried to install the outside mount version....very difficult to figure out the installation! Once installed, they aren't blackout because they sit so far from the window. There's a huge gap between the blinds and the window which lets light and heat in or out. Also, these used to come with an attached valence (of sorts) that gave them a more professional look. Finally, the mechanism that lowers and raises the blind doesn't work well at all. The "double pull" to raise the blind is useless.

I installed this in 5 minutes and it looks great in my bathroom. I bought this for the blackout benefit because there’s no air conditioning in my 2nd floor apartment bathroom and it gets intensely hot in the summer. It’s also privacy perfect, I don’t have to close the window every time I go in there so the neighbors don’t get a show! It’s nice and cool in there now, dark as a cave and now I can use the bathroom with the window open 🎉 For the price, the fabric doesn’t look cheap or thin, and it Velcros to the bar, so I would think that suggests interchangeability of styles, and I appreciate that. The reasons I gave ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and not 5 is the pull and rod pockets on the backside. I accidentally popped one of the rods out and had a moment of existential dread when I didn’t know where to put it back, and it took a moment to sort it, but I did it and it’s good to go. The pull I feel like after a couple of weeks or months it may rip and I’ll be reinforcing it. We’ll see!

I ordered 2 of the Roman shades and they are great. We used the Roman shades with the black side facing the window; and the light side facing the room. Then my husband rehung the 2” wooden blinds, sheer and panels. Awesome together! All Black Out

It really is total balckout! I put it in my sons room since he gets the summer afternoon sun and it really heats up his room, with this shade it's nice and dark in the and it keeps his room cool.

Highly recommend it! The shade comes with all the hardware you need and it was so easy to install. The style of the shade makes the room look really nice. Don’t hesitate! The curtain construction is sturdy and provides the complete dark blackout that it claims. The back portion of the shade has a hanging white curtain, while the actual backing of the shade is coated as well, this allows for no light to penetrate the shade. The shade operates up or down manually by simply pulling on the white handle hanging at the back of the shade. The installation is pretty basic where your screw in the brackets and click/push the shade panel in. Simple but chic for any room.
