Q: will the adhesive damage a painted window frame over a year period? the windows we want to cover have multiple panes so that we can't adhere the shade to the glass surface.

A: Dear Renter. We suggest that you test a small piece on the painted surface first. The surface must be clean and dry, but varnished surfaces will not work.

Q: im confused about the dimensions in the options it says 72" X 48" but in the description is says 48" x 72", which is the length and which is the width?

Q: In your description it says, "just drops down." Can you ever raise the shade up halfway to let light in and then lower it again at night?

A: Hi Catherine, Yes, the Temporary Shades come with “EZ-Clips” which are basically a large type of paper clip. So you can adjust the shade to whatever length you need and just “Clip” there in place.

A: Hi dabreu_pr, sorry for the delay on these replies but yes, you can stick the Temporary Shades just about anywhere you want to stick them. However, they are usually attached just above the window frame or even right on the top of the widow glass pane. Where ever you place them they will just drop down and offer immediate shade and privacy to that window area.

We live in a rental home right now that has the cheap blinds and the sun beats down on the house all day. These are quite helpful and the vinyl material is actually impressive. I put these behind the cheap blinds, we still prefer a darker room so I proceeded to buy the black sun blocking blinds and put that up as well. It's fantastic and better than buying a bunch of expensive curtains you probably won't use again. I highly recommend these ones

If you like having your window open they will blow around and make a really annoying noise constantly. I cut them shorter and bought velcro strips to stick them to the sill but my neighbors can still see into my apartment easily (my building has a courtyard for some reason so my neighbors and I only have windows that face each other) because they're still always blowing open. Even if I cut it enough to pull it taught, they would like still move and make noise. They wrinkled from the breeze of the open window, so they don't even look nice anymore. I've only had them for a month and I'm probably going to pull them down.

This set comes with 6 "blinds" and work perfectly for my short-term apartment. I have curtains but needed some help blocking the sun in the mornings - new blackout curtains were too expensive since I'm not in this spot for very long. Exactly as pictured - you can cut them to fit your window (both horizontally and vertically), peel the sticker off, and press onto your window frame. Quality is better than I expected, and they do a decent job of blocking the sun. Only complaint is that the "clips" to hold them in place are not great. Really pleasantly surprised.
