70" 5 Shelf Bookcase - Sauder

Good news: This bookcase held more books than I anticipated and was easy for a 70 year old grandma to put together... time consuming but doable. Bad news: One of the bags of screws was one short! (I had to use an alternative) One of the back panels didn't have all the holes as shown in the directions, for nails & screws. Good thing grandma has a drill! It's obviously not real wood... you get what you pay for. Fun news: I laughed at the couple of jokes in the directions. Cute

Easy to assemble

Place all my books and little ornaments that suit my books.

Had to get bottom D replaced as it was wrong and did not line up with trim E. Replacement came quickly. As we were tacking down the back, there was a loud noise and the unit had come apart between upper and lower sections. We had put cardboard underneath to protect the finish but should have had a built up section under G to support it. Perhaps this info could go into the next manual. Unit seems wobbly although we were very careful putting it together and checking for square before tacking on the back. Definitely need the support strap.

Nice bookshelf and well worth the money. Will be buying more.

We purchased two 5-Shelf Bookcases to place on each side of our TV cabinet. Although darker than expected, they blended nicely with our cabinet. Happily, easy to follow instructions and parts undamaged!

I hope this sturdy bookshelf lasts a long time.

Love the look of the finish, really sturdy and easy to assemble.

They look very attractive and seem to be able to hold a good amount of weight. I am quite pleased with them.

Installing was a breeze. The hardest part was getting the backs to fit squarely. It takes a 2nd person to keep the unit and backs in place while nailing it on. Else you have to remove nails & start over.

It looks really good and solid. Easy to follow instructions. I liked the little nail holder for the back. It made it so easy to position the nails correctly. My only complaint is that two of the front facing pieces seem a little short. I'll just fill in with some builders putty and it could possibly have been my construction technique all in all great product

nice finish. The problem that i encountered was approx. 1/3 of the pieces were not labeled and trying to find the correct order .to place them in its proper place. check your quality control, other than that it is a nice product

VERY NICE FINISH

I needed an extra space in my office, and this 5-shelf bookcase is excellent for re-arranging my books. It took over an hour to assemble this bookcase, but the assembly user guide was very clear.

The directions were very clear and easy to follow.

We needed a new book case for our living room in the Condo we just moved to. It looks great and fits in with the style.

Hi! Easy to assemble thanks to the great pieces identification and detailed manual. Very beautiful piece, but not the very steady/sturdy when lifted up. This might be due to my (lack of) assembling skills, and I didn't have a drill, so the tipping kit was not used. Overall, very good.
