This seems like a pretty sturdy bookcase, and the French Blue color is so true to the pictures which was a relief! However, my one disappointment - the back of the left side piece had a pretty big crack/fractured part. Not sure if that’s just the byproduct of shipping or what, but it built ok, and like I said, was on the back side, so easily hidden.

Shipping came early and was packaged very well with extremely thick cardboard to ensure that it wasn’t slightly damaged on the way product looks great. It’s real wood gonna love it.

Great bookshelf. Measurements are for the very top part, which has an overhang. Sturdy and easy to put together. Not sure where it is made or what country it is a product of.

Would have been 5 stars except one of the back screw locations was too close the inside. It split the wood out on the inside side piece. I had to take it back apart to repair it!

I was disappointed with the bookcase during and after assembly. There were 3-4 large scratches on the pieces right out of the box. The backing piece was very cheap looking and did not look like wood to match the rest of the bookcase. I am very dissatisfied with this purchase.

I bought this product 11 months ago. It is unusable because the varnish still smells very noticeably after 11 months. I have had to store it in a spare room, often with fan running, with window open, and it still smells noticeably and distinctly nearly a year later.

Other retailers sell this same exact bookcase, perhaps under a slightly different name, at luxury prices. Great product and great value. Assembly is required and an occasional extra hand is encouraged. I purchased two and will probably purchase more. Nice to eventually replace all of my particle board bookcases with real wood.
