70.5" 3pc Landon Bookcase Set - Crosley

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Crosley Furniture Landon 3 piece Etagere Set looks really beautiful! It is 2 smaller shelves and 1 large shelf that are separate pieces. It took a little over an hour and 4 adults to build all the shelves. It can definitely be done with 1-2 people, it will just take a little longer. The boxes they were shipped in were very heavy, you would definitely need 2 people to carry them. The instructions made sense and were easy to follow and all the hardware was packed separately and labeled. Some of the pieces of shelf didn’t have the labels on them so we had to make educated guesses about which piece was what. There are clips which lock the pieces together and some of them came broken. The clips are also really difficult to lock, they hurt your fingertips a lot. Also, the dowel holes are way too big and the dowels fall out if you don’t hold them in while assembling. It was also difficult to make the drawers square. There were some scratches, nicks, and gouges in the shelves and veneer which is disappointing. I expect that over time, but not new out of the box. The shelf legs have adjustable feet that are great and super easy to use. The color of the shelves is beautiful, it’s rich and consistent. The drawer pulls are also really beautiful and look and feel expensive. Overall, I am happy with this shelving unit, there are just some minor issues that could be fixed.

The drawer is flimsy plywood less than 1/8 inch thick and does not support very much weight without bending. One of the front pieces arrived split from faulty factory installation of a metal fitting. There does not appear to have been a quality inspection prior to packaging.
