Q: which shelf is not adjustable and what is the height of that space?

A: The bottom shelf is not adjustable however the top 2 shelves are adjustable. The height of the space from the shelf that does not adjust to the shelf that does will range between a few inches depending on how high you have adjusted the shelf above it.

The product is a bit unstable on my carpet, but has remained upright. Assembly was easy, I did it by myself. Would have liked to easily been able to hammer the back panel to the middle section to prevent bellowing in the flimsy back. I got this specifically to match my bedroom, it has minimum space for book or other storage in comparison to other shelves for similar pricing.
