A: Hello! Thank you for question. Our 72" Tapered End Cap Curved Aluminum Shower Curtain Rod Tension or Permanent Mount @ Target. There are two screws for each side of the Mounting Brackets. The screws from the middle of the 2 holes is 2 1/4" W and the Diameter of the top of the end cover is also 2 1/4" W. Q: We followed the instructions and twisted the end (C) to tighten the tension, but the twistable part of the rod always unspun back to the original place. Is this broken, or are we missing something?

Q: what size is the allen wrench that came with the shower rod?

A: Hi Ron, each shower rod is packed with two large hex wrenches size 5/32 in. for the mounting bracket installation and one small hex wrench size 3/32 in. for the set screw adjustment. Hope this helps to answer your question!

Q: How do I remove the end caps ....I forgot if the have screws or an Alan wrench (sp).

A: Hi BWG - We're glad you asked. The end caps have dimples on the side and can snap in/out of the mounting bracket/end pad. You'll sometimes have to push the end pad up to get the end cap to pop off. Hope this helps! - Gao

Absolute GARBAGE!! I would definitely not recommend buying this shower curtain rod. It was difficult to install and ultimately broke on me. Money down the drain. Beware!!

This shower curtain was impossible to put up. I had so many issues with it. Maybe if you don't have tile in your shower, it would be okay. It started scratching my new shower tile! I would give this 0 stars if I could. I've wasted my time and money trying to put it together. The other issue with it was also the stickers leaving a sticky residue. I even used my hair dryer on the sticker first, which usually helps all stickers automatically peel off. Nope!! That trick didn't work. I hate this product.

Do not buy this, the threads on the middle of the rod to lock in the shape stripped on the first try to screw it in. Had the whole thing screwed into the wall and got to the point of locking in the size before I did the tension and stripped. Had to take the whole thing down and return it and put my rusty shower rod back up.

Perhaps this would be better if it was hard mounted into the wall, but I don't think it would. Do NOT buy this. The tension mount is awful and does not work. It's $42 for pure garbage. Will definitely be returning this and keeping my rusty tension rod in place

One of the worst designed products I have come across in my life. Putting together the 2 opposing rods was an exercise in frustration as a microscopic screw needed to make them into 1 rod was unable to engage the thread. No problem with one rod. Add the 2nd rod and it’s impossible. I was really looking forward to using this shower curtain. The experience of assembling it was bad enough not to purchase this brand ever again. If zero stars was available as a grade, I’d have graded it as such Returning this piece of junk now.

This rod is nice but it keeps falling off I'm using tension and it does not stay on. Almost fell on my head. Maybe this one is good if you use screw otherwise it is not good if you use tension

I was excited when I bought this because it was going to provide more shower space without the need to drill into my wall tile. The rod stays up fairly well (holds up to an 8 year old boy almost daily) but the curtain rings get caught on the shower bar. There is typically a plastic ring on shower rods that extend allowing for smooth ring transition from one side of the bar to the other, but this rod does not have that. I have bought all kinds of different shower rings hoping something would work, but they. I would return if I could but I'm outside the window.

Perfect for adding a little extra space in the shower and not have the stupid curtain touching you while wet! I have had it up for a few months and solid. I’ve even put some weight on it and it’s still solid. I usually wouldn’t have spent a lot of money on a curtain rod but it was well worth it!

This shower curtain rod looks really nice and allows the hooks to slide smoothy. However, the directions (I used the tension-version) were so diffcilut to follow. Make sure you read through the instructions a few times before starting to make sure you understand what each step is outlining; there are many "gaps" in the directions that you will need to fill in for yourself.

Tension rod did not hold. We tried three times over three days. Always, a few hours later, the rod had twisted a quarter turn so it was hanging low in the center. Maybe it would be better as a permanently screwed in fixture but I’m not qualified to drill into tile.
