For those wondering what size drill bit to use, we tried a 5/32 and it worked perfectly. Item was a little scratched and somewhat cheap looking. But noone will see the scratches with the rod up over the window and overall it looks fine.

The photos in the listing look good, but the product is very flimsy. You cannot tighten the screws for the rod as the wall is in the way. They should have moved the screw position. The round sphere hole is not always centered with the rod, so the sphere may not always be in the center of the rod.

I had several issues with this rod: 1.) one of the balls arrived damaged, 2.) the instructions are too basic (for instance it says to drill a hole in drywall for wall anchors, but doesn't give you a recommended drill bit size, so I had to guess), and 3.) the screws are very cheap/soft and a couple stripped upon installation, resulting wobbly hardware. Functionally it works and I like the look of it, which is about all the positive things I can say.

I purchased the matte silver option to match the curtains I purchased. It was scratched out of the box and scratches very easily when installing. It’s like it’s a painted finish that scratches off and not actual metal. Very frustrating. Beyond that it was very easy to install and is functional.

I ordered two and one arrived with a shattered globe. Returned in store and ordered another one. Waited for it to arrive and when it did the globe was shattered again. I’ll have to go back to the store for a second time and wait a third time for the curtain rod to arrive. Hoping this one isn’t broken because I already hung up the first one. Very annoyed.

These are majorly distressed- and not in a good way. They just look old and worn out. My husband put them up before I saw them. Arrived with a broken ball too.
