Plates are adorable! The packing was unfortunately lacking. There was nothing in the box to protect the plates from the other dishes (bowls and other plates) so the plates were scratched.

I bought the orange ghosts for a family halloween gathering and will use with last years slightly opaque black cauldron bowls. These plates are heavy, strong, (about 10 inches, not 8.5), with neat images, just great quality. I would recommend.

I really like this plate, however, I ordered it specifically because the description said it was 8.5 inches (and I like smaller plates for my grandchildren to use). It is not. It is almost 10.5 inches across, as can be seen in the pictures I took...one with a ruler across the plate showing its measurement, and the other with my 10.25 inch white Corelle dinner plate sitting on it (and you can still see the orange peeking through under the white plate).
