You can almost feel Ren’s energy and excitement as you flip through the pages. The whole family has come together to cook, decorate, and celebrate the New Year. This story is wonderfully written, told from a young girls perspective, Ren cannot wait to help her family with the special meal. Even though she is told time and time again that she is a bit too young to help with the preparations, her happy demeanor does not waiver! When her big brother arrives, Ren is determined to create one of the family’s very special dishes. The day is made that much sweeter when Ren and her brother are able to cook together. You and your little readers will love A Sweet New Year for Ren. A perfect story to start off the new year with fun colorful illustrations that will warm your heart.
