Description

a2 Milk®, Ultra-Pasteurized 2% Reduced Fat Milk is deliciously smooth cow’s milk. a2 Milk comes from cows that naturally produce only the A2 protein and no A1. Published research suggests a2 Milk may help avoid stomach discomfort in some people. All cows originally produced only the A2 protein. A natural change occurred over a thousand years ago, which caused the A1 protein to appear as a genetic variation. Today, most milk comes from cows that produce both A1 and A2 protein in their milk. But our a2 Milk comes from cows that only produce the A2 protein. Feel the a2 difference!

Q: Is this low fat milk

submitted by TanD - 5 months ago
  • A: Thanks for your question, we appreciate hearing from our customers! Our 2% Milk is reduced fat and has 44% less fat than Whole Milk. It is not considered Low Fat Milk, which would be any milk with 1% fat content or lower. At this time, we don't have any plans to add 1% milk to our products. However, you can follow us on our social media channels for exciting product updates!

Q: is this milk homogenized ?

submitted by gwery - 2 years ago
  • A: Hi There - Yes all a2 Milk® products are homogenized to blend the natural fat found in milk, throughout the fluid portion of milk so it doesn’t separate when it sits on the shelf.

Not bad! I'm pretty sure I'm lactose intolerant, but lactaid milk and pills don't help. I don't seem to have much problems with this milk though! Glad I can enjoy my lattes without the worries!

We brought this straight home from the store and stuck it in the fridge. That evening we opened it to try it out and it smelled sour straight from the carton. I tasted a little and it was completely bad. We returned it to the store. Really bummed and really weird because the date said December and we bought it middle Of November.

[NOTE: This was an in-store purchase and I always transport cold groceries home in a cooler with blue ice in hot weather.] This A2 2% milk had an off taste and flavor upon opening. Upon further inspection, inside of container was coated in black film & black mold inside plastic cap. Discarded. Never had this occur with prior A2 Whole Milk over last 5 years.

Good but there were some bad batches

I used to like this milk a lot until I got bad batches a few times. My toddler complained of a bad taste after I gave her a newly opened one. So, I took a sip and it was sour! But it wasn’t expired per the box date. I returned it to Target and got a refunded. This happened a few times.

My son has an allergy to all dairy products. We have tried all forms of milk, this is the only milk he can drink. I do wish they made a smaller size since it has to be used within 7 days of opening.

I have purchased this milk on and off for the last 2-3 years. Usually it taste good and doesn’t upset my stomach. So long as I’ve purchased and used the milk before a week prior to exp date and within four days after opening, it’s been good. This is the first time I buy it in months (not many have stocked it) and it does NOT taste good. Has an after taste and mixed taste that makes me think it’s gone bad or it’s not made the same. And the exp date is 21 days out. It’s pricey because it’s supposed to be good but at this point, I’ll probably pass. I purchased and opened two, thinking it was me, but the milk is actually off putting. Will reconsider when needing different options for my kiddos and myself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed drinking this milk in both my coffee and cereal, it didn’t have a water down taste. Fresh and great ingredients compare to other milk on the shelves. Get a taste you won’t go back to regular jug milks.

When I got home from my curbside delivery at the store, the first thing I always check is expiration dates of dairy items. Sure enough the date on the milk was 2 weeks earlier. You would have thought that the person completing my order would check dates on things like milk. Apparently not. Also, the person replenishing the milk supply would have removed older items. Apparently not. Shame on you Taget!!
