A: Hi there, all a2 Milk® products are not casein free. There are two main types of beta-caseins: A1 and A2 beta-casein protein. Most cows’ milk sold in the US naturally contains a blend of A1 and A2 proteins. Our milk is sourced from cows that naturally produce only the A2 protein type and no A1. A: a2 Milk is an Ultra-Pasteurized milk that does need refrigeration

A: While similar, our milk is Ultra-Pasteurized (UP) which means it is heated to a minimum of 280f, and held for 2 seconds. UHT is where milk is heated to temperatures between 275f-300f for a minimum of 2 seconds then its cooled.

Homogenization is a process used to blend the natural fat found in milk, throughout the fluid portion of milk so it doesn’t separate when it sits on the shelf. Homogenized milk generally has a longer shelf life than un-homogenized milk. Most milk available in the US is homogenized.

A: Hi Divya, a2 Milk® is a naturally occurring cows’ milk and we don't do anything to the cows to get A1 free milk. We test the cows and select cows that naturally produce only the A2 protein type and no A1. It is genetics like having brown eyes versus blue eyes.
