I purchased these for my job. I work in the fresh meat department of a grocery store, where we cut and package primals, and also deal with quite a bit of poultry. So obviously, there's a lot of blood on the floor, which can be absorbed by anything with laces. The department is also cleaned with plenty of hot water and a chlorinated foam. I thought these would be a decent option, since one of our former employees wore them. When the boots first arrived, they fit comfortably. I normally wear a 12 Wide, but these are only available in 12 Medium. The 12 Medium fit fine, until about 4-5 hours into my first day wearing them. They had been rubbing against my ankle most of the morning, and when I pulled off my socks to check the stinging area, there was a little red, raw circle on my ankle, which I cleaned and bandaged. So, I tried moleskin protective padding to reduce friction on the second day of wearing them, but then they began to rub on the interior ankle of the same foot. Also, as another review I saw stated, the tops of the boots do tend to rub against the shins. I do not know if these boots can really "break in," as they're rubber, but I've decided they're too uncomfortable to wear long enough to test it. I got fed up and have decided to return them. Had it not been for the rubbing issue on the ankle and partly on the shins, I may have kept them. The boots seem to be decent quality, and there's enough toe room in my standard size. The slip-resistance seems pretty good, too. But I can't tolerate the friction and potential blisters. I know two people who wore the original version of these, and they were fine. This version may work just fine for some people, but it wasn't for me.

Bullfrog pro boot

Lots of positives and a few negatives. The height of boot is great, and I like how the top is open and does not hug your calf! I wear at work with pants and shorts. Keep feet dry, and non slip sole is great. But the problem is the lack of arch support. Also after a few months the boots fit great but the side of my foot hurts really bad. I see where others have reported this also. Please fix this problem so I can continue buying your boots.

I really like them, but they are a bit tight on my ankles and keep causing my socks to pull down, once my socks pull into the boot, it rubs badly against my leg…

Great but needs adjustments

As the title states it, this boot is greats however when it comes to the design it needs adjustments. For example, it's not ideal (not safe) to have the top of the boot overlapping the pants. I wish the top was not so open, but smaller in circumference so that the pants can cover the top. Reducing the overall thickness of these boots would also enhance the look and feel.

This boot has it all; good slip resistance, cleanability, a short top for people with larger calves and the price point doesn't hurt. For our busy food manufacturing facility and our workers, I've gotten nothing but positive feedback.

I wore the bullfrog boots for years and loved them. This new design is a huge disappointment. With every step my foot begins to come out of the boot, causing muscle strain as I subconsciously flex my calf to make sure the boot comes along with my foot. I've abandoned them and am looking elsewhere.

New selection for me, with the composite toe, but have worn the Bullfrogs for years as my choice for a safe, comfortable, slip resistant boot.

A light warm & comfy shoe, feels bouncy & soft like a *slipper! Am picky about my footwear, but size/width is good, perfect to wear all day + be able to run outside on breaks/lunch in winter! Almost did not want to take off when I got home... :-) *wear w/thick wool socks for an extra Heavenly feel!
