For fireplaces that have an opening in the floor to dispose of ashes, a cast iron cover is necessary to keep this opening covered. Our cast iron Ash Dump has a louvered door that can be easily opened to clean ash and debris without a mess. Fits an opening 4 1/2-in x 8 3/4-in, and a diagram is included for creating a new opening.
