Q&A(10)

Q: Is this product meant for daily use or just once in a while?

submitted by Gayle - 7 years ago
  • A: I use it every other day.

  • A: I'm in my 40's with oily skin & have used gritty face scrubs almost every day since I was 15. So far, this my absolute favorite, but it's a deep green that smells like the ocean & oak moss, which may not be everyone's idea of a good time! It's definitely worth a try & especially good to use in the shower so it's not messy. If your skin isn't up to scrubs, you'd be fine using it just once or twice a week.

  • A: I love this product. I have dry skin and need to be careful not to exfoliate too much. I use every third or fourth day. Keeps my skin looking great. Will continue to buy.

  • A: I use it every other day in the shower. The first time, I used a lot and my face hurt a little afterwards so I started using less and it didn't hurt again. I would suggest starting off using it twice a week at first and then every other day after that. And only a little bit is needed! I like to use it in the shower because it is easier to rinse off my face. I am on like my 3rd tube of this. It is awesome!

Q: Is this safe for sensitive skin?

submitted by CindyH90 - 7 years ago
  • A: It's pretty gritty, so just use it with a light hand. If you have sensitivities, definitely patch test it first on a small part of your face.

  • A: My skin is sensitive due to using Retin A and this product works great. It's a very good scrub. It's not coarse and I feel like I'm really pampering myself and it also does a great job at exfoliating.

  • A: Yes! My skin is sensitive and it doesn't bother it. I love this stuff!

submitted by Sue Anderson - 4 years ago
  • A: While the Brightening Facial Scrub does not have any added fragrance, it does incorporate clary sage, spearmint, and lemongrass essential oils to aid in clarifying and detoxifying.

Q: Is this good for acne prone skin? Which products are? I have really horrible acne on my chin and forehead and I was looking for something to help clear it up (along with other products I use)

submitted by Abbylynn - 7 years ago
  • A: I think that the grittiness might cause issues with acne. I'd consider a gentler scrub or a cleanser with active ingredients meant for acneic skin.

Q: Two questions: Do you use this in shower? Is this safe for kids?
