It seems to be pretty sturdy even in Oklahoma wind, which can be over 60mph, it has held up to ice, snow, rain, and strong winds. We watched a raccoon try to open it and fail miserably so, the chicken feed is safe behind the gate, which is now a shed door. Highly recommend this because I was able to do it completely by myself without any assistance from my husband.
