Q: Can the shelves be installed on either side? (it would appear so by the photos, but would like to confirm)
A: The shelves are on the left side and can only be screwed in one way. If you turn the desk around, the support bar on the bottom and under top edge are in the front so a chair cannot go under

Q: The first picture shows the shelves on the left. The second shows the shelves on the right. Can it be assembled either way?
A: LOL! The table is turned aroung in the second picture, that's why the shelves are in the right. This is a left side storage desk

Q: This says the shelf width plus the chair opening width is greater than the overall width... does this mean that the legs are negative thickness? Wondering how thick the legs are for my space.
A: Hi Michael - Thanks for sharing your interest in this product. The total length of the desk is 43", the width is 19". The shelf sits on top of the rungs on the side walls. The width of the shelf will be the same width as the walls. I hope this helps - Stanley.

Q: Has anyone gotten this desk via pickup? If so, does the desk come built or in a box? If it's in a box how big is it? I have a smallish car, regular size sedan. Will I need a pick up truck?
