Q: Why does it say to not take with fruit juices?

submitted by A Mom - 7 years ago
  • A: Fruit juices block absorption of Allegra when consumed a few hours before and/or after taking Allegra, which means you won’t get your full dose and it won’t be as effective. It’s best to just avoid juices while taking.

Q: My nose is constantly running a clear liquid like water. Will this product stop the running. I don't feel like I have a cold.

submitted by Betty - 7 years ago
  • A: Most likely it will help. That watery drainage could be due to histamines (inflammatory chemicals that cause leakage in your nasal passages among other areas), or it could be due to exposure to cold dry air and your body attempting to humidify the air you breathe so it doesn’t irritate your lungs (not uncommon for this time of year). If it is due to allergy it will happen regardless of your exposure to cold dry air, and this medication should work. Of the antihistamines, I prefer this one over Claritin. I like it as much as I like Zyrtec, and it is less likely to make you drowsy. Good luck!
