A: This product features framing grade acrylic for the glazing instead of regular glass. We have upgraded this product to acrylic glazing because it is lightweight, shatter resistant and UV resistant. Glass is likely to damage artwork or photos when shattered, whereas acrylic is much safer for your mementos. Yes, the product has a backer board.
