Do not buy. After a trial period you have to subscribe to be able to access the recordings on the app. What's the point of a security camera if you can't see who broke into your house. Do not buy, it's a scam.

Your Blink products provide their standard features (such as motion alerts, live view, and two-way audio) without any subscription. Blink Subscription Plans offer additional features for those who want them. For a small monthly or yearly fee, you can get access to motion detection video recording, live view recording, extended Live View, 60-day unlimited video history, rapid video access (instantly watch your videos as soon as they’re recorded), video sharing, photo capture, person detection, and auto-update thumbnail. Only records video if you pay $11.99 a month for the subscription service otherwise you don’t get to see anything. What garbage. I only paid $18 for mine but will be returning it since it’s useless after the trial expires. How you gonna charge $20 for the product then $12 a month to use it? Doesn’t notify for me days at a time about motion events like they never happened. Totally unreliable. Disconnects often too for no reason. Poor quality sound lots of background noise even in quiet environments no wonder it’s on sale for so cheap.

Hi Chasedaniel, Thanks for the feedback about the Blink Mini 2. We always welcome feedback whether good or bad. The camera does record video even if you don't subscribe to the cloud storage. You can view the recording from the notification you get when a motion event occurs, you just can't go back and review it later. The monthly subscription is only $3.00 a month per camera not $11.99 a month. Blink does also offer a subscription free option with the sync module. This allows you to record all video to a USB drive instead. You should be getting notifications for every motion alert detected. If this is not happening i would suggest checking your Wi-Fi connection or contacting Amazon Customer Support. You can reach them 24/7 at 1-888-280-4331. After your free trial blink plus the camera just stops working only motion detection and literally will not record the worst camera ever it will not work unless you have a blink plus trial or plan or one of their 60 to $70 sync modules which also need a USB drive do not buy bad product

Without a Blink Basic/Plus plan, you will still receive motion-activated notifications and access live view. With the Blink Basic plan ($3 a month per device or $30 a year), you receive motion event recording and live view recording. Got the black camera for privacy and it works for what I need it for. I had hid this and nobody has noticed this camera and I don’t notice it either when I go outside. I love the app layout which it’s important in the long run. The app is elegant. You get a free trial to start out. Pricing is good.

This company prides themselves on simple connection. I created an account, scanned my device and attempted to connect. My camera would not connect. I called customer service and the off shore tech was confused and realized she was giving me wrong directions for another device. After an hour of attempting set-up I decided to return for a Ring. No thanks.

The motion detection isn’t great, but it isn’t bad either. The installation was fast and managed to capture what was going on outside my home without me having to rush to the window, every time I hear a commotion (my street isn’t the safest). I’m satisfied with the Blink Mini 2, and I know that so will you. Give it a try. Totally recommend it.

We have a blink system outdoors and this was similar quality with good video and audio. The app is also fairly easy to use and definitely sensitive to movement!
