About the Author

Bret Easton Ellis nació en Los Ángeles en 1964. Al acabar el instituto, decidió abandonar el Oeste y viajar a Nueva Inglaterra para estudiar en la Universidad de Bennington. Alentado por sus profesores, durante su último año de universidad, Ellis completó la que sería su primera novela, Menos que cero (Literatura Random House, 2010; el título está inspirado en una canción de Elvis Costello), que cosechó el aplauso de la crítica y se convirtió en libro de culto. Cuando en 1992 publicó American Psycho, el retrato de un ejecutivo psicópata, se confirmó que había nacido una estrella.
