Highlights

• Galvanized welded triangular hardware makes this one of our sturdiest swing seats. The dimensions of the seat are 24” x 6” x 5/16” or 30 ¼” hanger to hanger. It is made with 70 EPDM rubber with insert to resist vandalism. EPDM: Ethylene-propylene-diene-monomer is a synthetic rubber material which helps prevent crazing, cracking and oxidizing.
• Our seats have galvanized steel triangles and steel plates that are riveted to the seat with galvanized rivets. We go to the added expense of welding each triangle together so they cannot be pulled apart and pulled off the seat. Our swings are one of the few that have these welded triangles. The triangle is constructed of 3/8” dia. cold rolled steel with the ends welded together. The plate is 1/16” thick h.r. stamped galvanized steel. The rivets which are used to rivet the plate through the EPDM rubber and steel insert are made of ¼” diameter steel. There are three rivets on each side of the seat. The S130 seat has a 1075 rounded edge steel insert, full hard, painted with a non-rusting adhesive, and then coated with rubber that is from ¼” to 3/8” thick. The seat’s insert rounded edges to help prevent injuries from sharp edges and then encased in EPDM rubber. The seat should last 2 years in harsh conditions and up to 5 years in optimal conditions. Some conditions may require replacement sooner. Tensile strength is 5650 lbs.
• The overall length including the hangers is 30 1/4″ and the length without the hangers is 24″. The width of the swing seat at the widest point is 6″. The inner width of the hanger triangle is 2 7/8″ (turquoise in the image above) while the distance from the plate of the triangle to the inner tip of the triangle is 2 5/16″ (orange in the image above).
• This is for children 4 – 12 years old only. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to stand on or use unsafely. Rings are considered exercise equipment and are not recommended for public playgrounds unless suspended by chains 7” or less. Do not allow it to be used if damaged or wet.
