Q: Why is there a CA PROP 65 warning on this? What is the potential cancer causing part of this seaweed snack?

submitted by Therese - 4 years ago
  • A: California State Proposition 65 requires manufacturers to state this warning even if there are trace levels of any of the 800+ chemicals on their list, some of which naturally occur in some foods (like seaweed). Many of these chemicals are found naturally in the ocean and are absorbed by the seaweed. At Annie Chun’s, we do not add any chemicals when we process the seaweed.
