It was working great until last month. I was only using it for making a special Super yogurt that requires 36 hours of fermentation below 107F degrees. my yogurt began separating for the first time and he device's timer would shut off and I noticed the separation in the jars and the temperature would be at a different setting. The only explanation was that it malfunctioned and the temperature went too high. SUre enough, it did it again and I was there to check the temp w a digital thermometer. Now the touch screen didn't work and I had to unplug to get it to shut off. I will return it to the store today.

I bought this for my husband to re-heat his smoked Brisket and his other smoked meats. He had gone on and on about how amazing this would be and how it would keep the moisture in the meat blah blah blah. I thought that would be the only reason we'd bring it out. However it has semi permanent residence on my counter!! we've used it for steaks, pork chops, chicken etc. My husband put a roast in it for over a day, He absolutely loved it. He takes it out if town with him, to cook in the hotel. the actually heating element is removable and he has attached it to a food safe bucket to cook a whole chicken, or perhaps a 17lb brisket! it's well used and he tells everyone about it. Most recently he used it to re-heat pulled pork we made Street tacos and he used it to pickle onions for the street tacos.!! he made a mixture cut up the onions clipped the bag to the side, set the timer and bobs your uncle we had pickled onions just a few hours later! it's extremely easy to clean each part. and great to store, everything fits inside!
