Meat is very chewy upon cooking in oven, breading is unusual. An acquired taste is necessary this is not a true red white and blue corn dog! Stick with the un-healthier brands lol.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my doubts. Not gonna lie. I like corn dogs. But the cheap State Fair ones from the local grocery store. Full of everything you're not supposed to have. But I was willing to give a Gluten-free uncured beef corn dog a try. I am open to all sorts of foods. Right out of the box, they looked great. Indistinguishable from a "regular" corn dog. Smelled like a corn dog. Checked all the boxes. The box size only had 4. For the price, this is crazy. If you're gluten-free and just want a little treat (and have self control?) this is fine. If you eat corn dogs all the time (No judgement!) you will go broke. :) I took out two and put them in my convection toaster oven. They cooked up just fine. The house smelled like the state fair! Yay me! The breading cracked a bit (no points off) but otherwise, it was a corn dog. Taste: Not as sweet as the standard corn dog. The hot dog itself was very nice! The breading...not to my liking. It tasted okay but the texture was wrong. It fell apart in my mouth. It was gritty and not like what I am used to. This threw me off. I was tempted to immediately call this a bad taste test. But no. You can't judge from just one bite. I finished the dog and you know what? It's not bad! I can't say that I'd rush to buy them again (price is a HIUGE factor) but I won't complain if I was served these somewhere. Good quality dog, good tasting breading, not great texture. If you have texture issues, these may not be for you.

I have always loved corn dogs and was so sad when I had to go gluten free and realized most have gluten. I am so grateful for Applegate corn dogs because they are gluten free and have MUCH better ingredients than most. They taste great, but I do wish they were a bit less crumbly. This is a great option if you need gluten free or are more ingredient conscious.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate enough to sample these Applegate Natural Gluten-Free Beef Corn Dogs. I've tried several Applegate products in the past and they were all very good, but I hadn't tried these corn dogs. I tried microwaving them from frozen, according to package instructions, but they were not good at all. The beef hot dog in the middle was dry and unpleasant, and the breading was so hard it was almost inedible. Do NOT microwave these from frozen, even if the package includes the directions for doing so. My next test was air-fried from frozen. The package includes oven times, so I used the same temperature, but half of the time for the air fryer. This time, they came out much better - crispy and crunchy outside and then softer breading and a nice juicy and flavorful beef hot dog inside. I don't know if the 'Gluten-Free' part of this product resulted in somewhat of a dry breading, but it wasn't bad. I have no doubt that the best way to eat these would be to thaw them out and then bake or air fry for the best overall texture. The key point is please do NOT microwave from frozen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always loved a corn dog and didn't necessarily care where the ingredients came from (who checks nowadays at a Sonic) but there corn dogs made me want to understand more about what is placed in mine because they were so good! I was fulfilled with the flavoring of the cornbread outside, with a little hint of sweetness but crispy on the outside. The hotdog was well flavored with no additives and it was perfect for a nice fall day. I cooked mine in the air fryer and they came out perfectly. Would definitely recommend to my friends and will probably select these the next time I have a corn dog craving.

I prefer them cooked in the air fryer, where the breading gets a delightful crisp. I will definitely be choosing these over any other from now on.

This was not like any other corn dog I've ate. The batter was incredible & fresh tasting. Not like you're biting into a grease tasting bite. The dog on the inside had a fantastic texture and taste. It didn't have any nasty fillers and odd chunks like the other brands. Overall this tasted fresh and had clean flavors.

This is probably one of very few snacks that my girl can have without worrying abotu eczema blowup. But I noticed that air friyer cooking cracks the bread covering and sausage is little bbit salty on the side. Still, kids loved it. Too bad it is only three in one box and I need to buy two boxes to feed my kids. Overall, it is good but not that great.

The beef frank tastes great doesn't taste preservatives dipped in cornbread batter. Speaking of, the batter casing is a little thin for my taste, but I did enjoy the crisp crunch resulting from the thin coating. I cooked these in the air fryer and they came out perfectly.

In the past I haven't had much success with gluten-free products, I found them to be, ironically, very grainy. Applegate Naturals Gluten-Free Beef Corn Dogs didn't suffer from this malady! They were crispy and delicious. The beef taste was rich and there was a slightly sweet note to the batter. My son loved them. Highly recommended.
