This is a classic. Little children's hearts will beat faster as the little bird tries to find his mother and they will sigh in relief when mom appears at the end. I bought the hardcover, because I prefer hardcover to board books for bedtime story books such as this. And it was actually cheaper than the board book.

This book has a terrible story line. May be good for beginners but just not an appealing story or choice of words. Note that it is 62 pages. It does not rhyme. Overall I expect better from a Dr. Suess book.
