I bought this as a quick solution for my dog to cool down on after playing outside and it definitely does it’s job. The second he comes in the house, he waits for me to take it out of the refrigerator and he lays on it until he’s cool enough. I wipe it down and keep it in the refrigerator until the next use.
Great for humans, too!

I have a constant, intense burning feeling (in my back) that is caused by damaged nerves. I've tried ice packs to reduce the heat, but they are far too cold, so I decided to try this products to see if I can avoid having to take medication for the problem. It immediately relieved the problem by drawing the heat from my back, but it does not stay cool several hours, as stated in the ad. The cold feeling lasts about 30 minutes, so I refrigerate it and it comes back to life. I don't mind having to re-cool it, but have to make sure not to get it too cold. It's the best thing I've found for absorbing the heat. It does not form to the body, so makes it a little difficult to reach the neck and sides, but I've learned to position it better the longer I use it. Good product!
