Add 1/2 teaspoon to 1/2 glass (4 fl. oz.) of water every 2 hours, or as directed by physician. Dissolve completely in water. Accurately measure 1/2 teaspoon. Do not take more than the following amounts in 24 hours. Seven 1/2 teaspoons. Three 1/2 teaspoons if you are over 60 years. Do not use the maximum dosage for more than 2 weeks., For use as a soak in the bath: Dissolve 1 to 2 cups in a tub of warm water. Soak for 10 to 30 minutes as needed, or as directed by a doctor. Pat dry (do not rub) to keep a thin layer on the skin. For use as a Compress or Wet Dressing: Add sodium bicarbonate to water to make a mixture in a container. Soak a clean, soft cloth in the mixture. Apply cloth loosely to affected area for 15-30 minutes. Repeat as needed or as directed by a doctor. A: Thank you for your question, Emily P. Arm & Hammer Baking Soda got its start as a mined ore called trona. Trona is mined in the Green River Basin of Wyoming. Trona deposits were formed over four million years ago after the evaporation of great salt lakes in Wyoming, as well as in Kenya, Egypt, Venezuela, and the deserts of Central Asia. After trona is mined from these areas, the trona ore is heated to make soda ash (sodium carbonate), which is then dissolved in water. When carbon dioxide is bubbled through the solution under pressure, sodium bicarbonate forms and precipitates out of the solution. Q: Is 1-pound baking soda the same as 2-pound's? If yes, why the box is labeled "fresh for baking" on 1-pound baking soda and 'natural cleaning for your whole kitchen' on 2-pound's?

My stainless steel sink looked like it had started yellowing almost like coffee. I sprinkled a bit of baking soda added a bit of soup and used a lemon to scrub and it cleaned it right away! So simple even better easy!

One of my favorite things to do is use it as a face scrub I just make a paste of baking soda and water and rub it in circular motions on my face and rinse it off . It makes your skin so soft and not dried out feeling .

Anywhere you have rough, flaky or itchy dead skin you use it like any body or face scrub & your skin feels brand new again. From teenage years to now age 51, it's the one thing I've done weekly & stuck with it. And it works great for removing shampoo & conditioner build up! I love my Arm&Hammer

There are just so many uses. and at a fraction of the cost of other more harmful cleaners it was a no brainer to make the switch! You should be too!
