A specialist in Celtic and Pre-Raphaelite art, he has authored more than 30 books, including The Art of the Celts: Origins, History, Culture and The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Tartan. He is also a contributor to DK's Art: Over 2,500 Works from Cave to Contemporary.Mary Acton is an art critic and art historian who is a lecturer at the University of Oxford. She is also a writer known for her work on Art: The Definitive Visual Guide Borders, Learning to Look at Paintings, and Learning to Look at Modern Art.
