Q: Could this be assembled without the wheels? i.e., so that it sits stationary on the floor...?

A: We have ours on the floor without the wheels, which makes it a little shorter than counter level, but it works for us.

Q: Could you possibly assemble this cart WITHOUT the side towel holder and spice rack? I do not want these and wonder if they are necessary for structure.

A: They are not necessary for the structure. There will be some holes visible on the sides, but we preferred it without the side accessories.

A: Yes it does. Not a huge leaf but good enough to eat a small meal at. I wouldn’t put anything too heavy on the leaf personally.

Q: What is used to keep the drop top up? I have seen many comments stating that is not able to hold much weight. So we are considered about the longevity of the leaf staying up. thank you.

A: The leaf is held up by 2 extendable wooden support bars( when in use).

Q: Has anyone ever used this as a craft project table? Is the the drop leaf part strong enough to hold up to using a Cricut machine, or painting, etc?

A: It is not recommended to place items of weights or of heavy usage on the leaf portion as the leaf does not support too much load. Hope this helps.

Q: What are the exact hinges used on the cart? I need a extra set for the left door and they don't come separated they came screwed to the doors but one is the same on cart and door, and doesn't connect.

A: This is a factory pre-installed item as such the information you requested is not available. May we suggest you dismantle the required hinge from the door and use it to find a matching hinge at your local hardware store. Hope this helps.

I really wanted to like this island as it is perfect for my new house, but it is just really low quality. Several of the parts came with minor nicks and scuffs out of the box. One of the door hinges was also bent in a way that the door wouldn’t work and it blocked one of the drawers. The company quickly sent me a replacement part that has the hinges pre-installed but it is a different different color. I removed the hinge and put it on the old part which works well enough. But it still doesn’t all fit together correctly. There are several gaps and the two doors are significantly misaligned. Overall this is a poor product.

the drawer slides were installed from the factory incorrectly. there were 5 of the same slides so only one drawer will work, will update review if the parts are replaced

It’s really attractive. It was quite a challenge to assemble. The directions were pretty straight forward. It was well packaged and delivered without damage. We were surprised by the many pieces to assemble, but it seems very sturdy and will be very useful.

I wanted to really like it based on the picture, but I was not happy when I opened the box. The door was damaged (see photos), the materials are cheap, the door hinges come pre-attached and do not align (see photos), and all the parts are not the same color red. It was also like they gave up on the last page of the directions because the screws they show are not the correct ones needed. For the price, I would NOT recommend. I'm just glad I bought it on sale because I've had cheaper furniture that was much better quality. VERY disappointed. ☹️

My toddler’s food and kitchen items were swallowing up my countertop. This completely holds everything of his and even gives me a space to prep his food! I love the paper towel holder! It also gives my kitchen an upgraded look. I wanted black but white was on a great sale— but turns out white looks GORGEOUS and I wouldn’t want another color.

The cart is way better than what we had and pretty good quality, solid wood. It has tons of storage space and large top surface. We were able to fit a microwave and a standing mixer even without extending the leaf. There is a bit of a gap between the cabinet doors, but it’s really not that bad or noticeable, in my opinion. The most poignant con is that the instructions state that it takes one person 2 hours to put it together, but in reality, you really need two people and it takes more like 3 to 4 hours. Also, the instructions state that you shouldn’t use power tools, but just as a tip, you might need a power drill for the top leaf hinges. For us, it was because the holes weren’t lined up quite right. Despite those two cons, it’s a nice piece of furniture and definitely provides a great deal of additional kitchen storage.

We were excited to get this cart as the quality looked nice. It arrived and was obvious it had been used and disassembled before. Despite that, it was packed nicely, but came with no instructions. I found some instructions online, but I'm not sure they match exactly. Currently trying to assemble it now.
Don't plan on moving it often.

I have been trying to figure out how to put together the Aspen Kitchen Cart for several months, but our cart did not come with any assembly instructions. This is a MAJOR problem, considering it is a 120+ pound piece of furniture, without a clear way of assembling it. I have searched for instructions on the internet, and Target's, as well as the manufacturer's websites, but have had no luck. If anyone has the instructions and could share them with me that would be very appreciated. Otherwise, my money has gone to waste. Target- Do you have a copy of the assembly instructions to share with me? Thank you.

The fold-up leaf does not work as it should. If a person puts just alight amount of weight on it, which is common when sitting at a counter, the entire top pops off. I was so disappointed, as this seating was the main reason I purchased the island. It looks nice and has good storage. I am going to try and modify the design to give the top a permanent setting with a decorative L-bracket underneath the fold-up counter, as well as come up with a way to actually screw the top down.

Great island. The leaf extends easily and is sturdy. Able to fit lots of kitchen appliances in it, stand mixer, blender, Waffle maker and more. My only complaint is that the drawers are not very big, not big enough for a box of foil.

Rails that are on all 3 drawers were pre installed wrong. Thus putting the wheel that rides inside the rail inside unit was hanging over rail outside. Not allowing drawer to work properly. Drawers would hang downward. Not flush. The fix was to switch the left rail with the right rail on drawers. Thus putting wheel to back of drawer to slide inside rail on unit. All the screws that were needed to install top to unit was missing. Made in China for ya
